Getting to Know Each Other

The Caribbean: Beach June 3, 2014

J was walking down the strand but this time he wasn't wearing a suit. He was wearing normal people clothes. It was to get the people's attention away from him. He was just wearing casual beach wear: board shorts, a polo shirt, shades and boat shoes.

You guys are probably wondering who this J guy is. Well let me tell you then.

His real name is John Viceral, but people call him J for short. He is 27 years old and he has been working as a spy since he was 22. He is actually already one of the bests in the business. His co-worker V or Vhong is his best friend. He is also 27. Their parents have been friends before they were born. That's why their names are similar. They got into the agency at the same time. Vhong is also one of the bests. The person he was talking to before V was their boss. His name is Billy. You are probably thinking of an old guy but you're wrong. He is 26. Billy is actually the best in the agency so he became the boss after the previous one passed. He knows a lot already because his father was an agent too. There are a lot more but I'll introduce them later.

So, J is still walking in the strand. He is actually trying to look for anything suspicious so good thing he's wearing shades. This resort has been a favorite place for crimes but no one knows about it. It has been kept a secret so people would keep coming here.

J was peacefully walking when someone bumped into him.

"Oh I'm so sorry I d-"she started saying

"No it's alright" he said

"Oh okay. But still I'm so- wait you're that guy!" she screamed

"What? What are you talking about?"

"That guy in the elevator yesterday"

"Oh yeah, well hello again"

"Wow you can talk!"she said sarcastically

"What do you mean?" he asked

"Well yesterday, you didn't really say anything. You just nodded" she explained

"Oh I was in a hurry so..." he answered

"No it's alright haha"

She smiled. He smiled back.

"I'm Karylle or K for short"

"I'm John or you can also call me J"

"I'll call you John. I like it" she smiled

"Alright. Are you headed somewhere?"

"Umm, not really"

"Why don't we go somewhere to talk then?" he asked

"Okay, I'd love to" she responded

They started walking. They found a cafe and they sat down.

"Are you here with family?...friends?" she asked

"Um, I went alone but my friends coming today" he answered

"Oh cool, but I'm not interrupting something right?"

"No no of course not"

"Okay then" she smiled

"What about you, are you with anyone?"

"Not really...I just want a vacation. To get away from everything"

"What's wrong?" he asked curiously

She looked down. She was contemplating on whether she should tell him or not.

"Nothing really...work stuff...been busy for a while and I wanted a break" she half-lied

He wasn't convinced but he let it go.

"Oh yeah work has been getting to me too. That's also why I'm here" he lied too

They stayed there for hours without getting bored of each other. Telling stories about each other, eating, and telling stories again.

"Oh my God, hahahaha, your friend did that? XD" he asked while laughing

"Yeah I couldn't believe it either hahahaha" she answered

"Hahaha how di- ring!ring! Oh wait let me answer this. Excuse me" he stood up
