The Truth

The Caribbean: J's room June 4, 2014

9:45 pm

They were gathering everything they got from their suspect's room. They set it all in the bed and examined it.

"Didn't you tell me he wasn't gonna be back until 10:00 pm?" V asked

" Yeah that's what Billy sai-wait" J said

"What?" V said

"Billy did it on purpose!" J shouted

"What do you mean?" V asked confused

"Well at the end of the email Billy wrote 'don't mess this up' and he said that it was at 10 so that means it was on purpose!" J explained

"Oh...hahahahaha...Billy loves you so much" V said sarcastically while laughing hard

"Ugh if only he wasn't our boss. I would do so many things to him" J said angrily

"Woah calm down. We don't know if it was on purpose or not"

"So what? I don't care. I didn't like him in the first place anyway"

"Okay then. Let's move on okay?" V said."Lets see what's in these things" V said referring to the 'trash' they got.

"Yeah okay. I am just curious on why there's only half a knife here" J said

"He probably stabbed someone and broke it" V suggested

"Dude that's dumb" J explained

"It was just a thought. Don't judge me!" V said raising his arms up in defense.

They continued examining but they got nothing.

"So these stains are just random liquids?" V asked

"It looks like it" J shrugged "It's not blood I'm sure of that"

"Ugh these are so useless" V said and sat down on the couch.

"It was worth a shot" J said

"Are you sure he's a suspect?" V asked

"From what I've gathered, yes" J explained "He was the last one at the venue when the murder happened"

"That doesn't mean he's a suspect already" V said standing up to go to the laptop

"Billy even said so" J said

"Billy? Bro, you know how he treats you. He's probably sabotaging you, you know" V said while typing on the laptop

"Hmm, that makes sense...but why would he waste time getting information for me?" J asked

"To keep you busy while he does the actual case" V explained

"What? What makes you say that?"

"Well, look here" V shows J the screen "Billy has left to go to Paris. He is currently staying at a hotel which in, just last week, the time of the crime, someone was arrested" V explained

"So?" J asked

"Billy is investigating by himself so he would take the credit while you try to work and find anything with this failed case" V said

"Ugh! That *toot*! I just wasted my whole time here looking for nothing!" V threw his gun at the wall and cracked the wall.

"J calm down" V stood up and tried to calm him down

"No! What is his problem?!" J shouted

"I don't know but you didn't actually waste your time here you know?" V said

"What do you mean?" J curiously asked

"Karylle" V said

J was just silent. He calmed down a bit and sat on his bed.

"Well it doesn't matter anymore 'cuz I'll leave eventually since this trip was useless" J said

"So you're just going to forget about her?" V asked

"Pretty much" J said

"Wow, well good luck with that then" V said

"What are you trying to say?" J said

"...nothing" V said smiling while walking out the door

J just shook his head
