The Hospital: June 11, 2014

"Just take your medicines regularly and try to avoid anything that you know will harm you" the doctor told J. He was about to be discharged from the hospital.

J just nodded.

"Alright. Get plenty of rest first today" the doctor then left.

J stood up and got his stuff. He walked out of his room. Karylle never came back after their little argument. Now he's wondering where she went. She doesn't really know the way around this place.

He then got to his car. He put his stuff in the back seat and sat on the driver's seat. He then drove home.

Once he reached the gate, he saw someone sitting in front of it. It was Karylle! He immediately stopped the car and got out.

"K!" he ran to her. K looked up. She looked very tired and she was filthy.

"K, what happened?!" J was so concerned. He sat next to her and hugged her tight.

"...I didn't know where to go at first but I eventually found your house. I've probably only been here for an hour. I think" she mumbled into his shoulder. J rubbed her back.

"Thank God you're alright" he said. He let go and stood up. He held his hand out to help her out. She took it and stood up.

"Let's go inside" he led her in the house.

"You shouldn't have left" J said to K. They were sitting on the couch.

K was just silent. J sighed.

"I'm sorry" he started "I didn't mean to blow off on you like that. It's just, my job is really important to me. I've worked too hard and I can't just let it go like that" he looked down.

K looked at him and sighed.

"I know it's important but you can't just keep working if you know it's not good for you. Maybe if you get better you can keep working, but for now you need to take a break from your job. That job will only make your condition worse" she explained.

"If I die, I would want it to be because I fought for justice and I want to say that I risked my life to save someone else's. I don't want to die because of this disease. It makes me look weak" he said.

K didn't say anything for a while. She wanted to say something but she knew it would be better if she didn't. She thought she'd let him vent for a while.

"I don't want my tombstone to read I died from an old people disease" he said "Also, I want my body to be buried in a hero's cemetery. You know, the ones for soldiers and the police"

K decided to say something now.

"Okay. First of all, you are not going to die" he was about to say something "No let me talk" he closed his mouth "second of all, dying from a disease doesn't make you look weak. Giving up makes you look weak. Getting through your sickness shows how strong you are. It shows how you fought to the very end. If you keep going on when you know it's bad for you, makes you look a coward. That's basically saying you gave up. You didn't try to fight it off. The soldiers you were talking about, they knew they could die in the war but they kept fighting. They knew someday they will but it never stopped them. So, this idea of yours, is very stupid" she explained to him.

He was speechless. He knew she was right.

"What? Aren't you gonna say anything?" she asked

He sighed first "you're right"

"I'm right?" she asked.

"Yes. You're right about all of that and also that my idea is stupid"

"Not only your idea. You are too" she laughed. He laughed too.
