The club was pounding and I didn't even know how long I'd been dancing for. I felt someone come up close to me and start to grind, I pulled away going to another area. I just wanted to dance not to have someone else grind me like a salt shaker!
“WHERE CHU GOIN' BABEHHH?” The smell of his drunken breath on my face almost made me vomit; a spontaneous smile came to my face as I just walked away. But he didn't even get the message he followed me pulling my wrist making me slam into his grinding body.
“Please~” I spat at him. He looked confused, probably drunk. “You're not even good enough to be at this club. Do you know who I am? Get your ugly shit out of here before I ask the bouncers to bounce you out.” I said, his confused face finally got the message and anger spurred on his face. What the hell did I just say? It had come out so suddenly and now I couldn't take back the words. It happened in slow motion with flashing lights, the beat echoed in my ear as he raised his hand and with each flash of the lights it was getting closer to my face.
Move! Duck! Karake Chop! Do something Kay!
My body was frozen, suddenly a flash of white appeared in front of me and the guy was on the ground, out cold. In the flashing lights I couldn't even tell who'd saved me or who he was, he turned to me and leaned down and I could feel his hot breath on my ear. He smelt like mints.
“Come with me.” His hand found mine and led me out. I didn't even hesitate to go with him, I wanted to go with him.
Outside of the club, it was cold. I felt his warm jacket wrap around my shoulders and I waited for eyes to adjust to the outside lights before I looked up. Ben stared down at me. I stared back at him with my mouth slightly open. I closed it and opened it again but the words were failing me now!
“You're the last person I expected to see -or save me.” I chuckled nervously and almost a little anxiously.
“Fact, I'm usually at the right place at the right time.” He half smiled, he ran his hands through his hair, and I knew it was something that he did when he was nervous. Silence set in as we just stared at each other.
“Truth is...I heard you were back and I came to see you.” The words were touching if they weren't a crap load of diarrhoea.
“Well. You've seen me.” I said raising my arms slightly to emphasise the fact he'd just seen me.
“No, Kay. That's not what I meant. I meant that I came here to find you. Perhaps, we could go somewhere and talk.” He offered holding out his hand for a moment. I opened my mouth to reluctantly accept his offer because I didn't really want to go back into that club at the moment. When a white Camaro pulled into the car park where we stood. Jase hopped out of the car, he was staring at me before staring at Ben. Ben frowned, narrowing his eyes.
“Let's go Kay.” Jase said, taking my hand he began to pull me away. I paused for a moment taking off Ben's leather jacket.
“Here.” I said handing it to him. He shook his head before staring at Jase.
“No, it's a cold night and your boyfriend didn't bring a jacket. I'll be seeing you.” Ben said walking away towards his red motorbike. I stood there for a moment with his jacket. I turned around and quickly got into the car with Jase. He drummed his fingers on the steering wheel. I sat in silence for a moment before I turned to look at his clouded expression.
“I believe you have to turn the key to make it start.” I pointed out smart-assedly. He raised an eyebrow at me before turning the car on and driving away without saying anything. He didn't turn on the music and I didn't feel like aggravating him. It was already hard enough to read his expression.
