(A/N Keeping with the theme of song titles from the musical An American in Paris)
"Y/n." I gasped. MY Y/n? They all were in love with my one true love? The one who I was going to marry?! Not while I'm alive!
"Excuse me, do you mean Y/f/n? Because I'm going to have to stop you right there." I exclaimed, completely flustered. "Y/n is mine! We've been dating for a year, remember? They love me."
"I'm sure they do." Gray Cloud Virgil rolled his eyes.
"They do!" I whined and stamped my foot.
"Alright, alright. They love you." Patton jumped up to try and calm me down.
However, I was not buying it. I was about to challenge them to a duel when I heard a knock at the door. Thomas opened it to reveal the beauty themselves. My scowl turned into a smile of pure joy and rushed over to hug them.
"Whoa. It's nice to see you too Roman." They replied, sounding startled.
"Oh Y/n. My Y/n. It is such a pleasure to see you again. Especially since you got my text." I exclaimed loudly so everyone could know they were in fact mine.
"Well, it sounded urgent." They explained, gently prying me off of them and looking down.
I gave a weak chuckle and rubbed the back of my neck. "Ah yes, well, I have a very important question to ask of you." I quickly added, "If that's alright with you, that is."
They nodded. "Go ahead, Roman. Unless you want to talk somewhere in private."
"No no!" I said a bit too quickly. "I mean, I'd like to ask here, in front of all of my friends." I put a lot of emphasis on the last word and glared at everyone.
"What is it?" They asked gently.
I cleared my throat and got down on one knee. They gasped slightly and blushed as I took their hands and said, "Y/n, I love you. I love you so much I want to spend the rest of my life with you. Y/f/n, will you marry me?"
They had tears in their eyes. I stood up and brushed them away with a smile. "Yes." They breathed. "Yes, I will marry you."
My smile grew and I kissed them. I felt all the love in the world with that kiss. I was officially the happiest man in the world. "I love you Y/n."
"I love you too, Roman." They whispered.
"I love you both so much!" Patton gushed as he hugged us from behind.
"Congrats you two crazy kids." Thomas slapped me on the back.
Logan cleared his throat and said, "Yes, a congratulation is in order, I suppose." He stuck out his hand and we both shook. "I wish you both luck in your future endeavors together."
I smiled at him and gave him a hug, making him jump a bit. "Thank you," I mumbled.
I could feel him giving a small smile. "Don't mention it."
Virgil glared at us from across the room. I looked at him with a smile. "Aww, come on Sourville." I teased.
He growled before coming over and giving us both a stiff hug. "Be good to them." He muttered in my ear. "They're pretty special and need someone to take care of them."
I nodded. "Of course. I will. Thank you."
"Whatever." He mumbled before disappearing.
I went back to my lovely fiance and gave them a side hug. "Come on my dear. Let's go celebrate!"
