Many Uruk-ai passed unaware of your hiding place. You held your breath whenever they drew near. Then an arrow shot two of them down. A quick flash of blonde hair rushed passed your tree. Legolas. You felt guilty and you wanted to help. When no more Uruk-ai passed you climbed down the tree and took two swords from a dead body near you. You waited until two more Uruks passed. They growled at you as they ran towards you but you didn't have time to think. In a matter of seconds they were both lying dead on the floor. You were unharmed thankfully. You looked at your broach and muttered 'thank you' to Galadriel.
In pairs or sometimes threes the Uruks ran towards you. You slaughtered them all until you heard a horn. The horn of Gondor.
"Boromir!" you cried eager to help him. But you were unable to as a big crowd of Uruks headed towards you. Out of nowhere, more than half of them fell to the crowd dead. You stared looking for a reason but realised you had to fight these beasts or run. One after one you killed them all. When they had finished coming at you, you were covered in Orc blood, you had been slashed on your cheek and had damaged a finger. No major injuries.
You paused then realised, Boromir. You ran and ran until you found Aragorn fighting with a huge Uruk-ai while Boromir was lying with at least 4 arrows in him. You held you breath as you ran past the fighting pair hoping you were not seen. But as you do the Uruk-ai grabs you.
"I'll kill her before you" he snarled. Aragorn gasped at your prescence. Luckily you still had your sword so you stabbed the beast in the foot forcing it to let go of you, you got up from the floor and ran to Boromir's side as Aragorn swiped the head off the beast.
"B-B-Borim-mir" you stutter as his face turns a shade of white. "Please don't go!" Tears began escaping from your eyes as Aragorn ran to your side. You took a few steps back and let them speak to each other. Legolas and Gimli both appeared and they looked at you with sad eyes.
Boromir: They took the little ones.
Aragorn: Be still.
Boromir: Frodo, where is Frodo?
Aragorn: I let Frodo go.
Boromir: Then you did what I could not. I tried to take the Ring from him.
Aragorn: The Ring is beyond our reach now.
Boromir: Forgive me, I did not see it. I have failed you all.
Aragorn: No, Boromir, you fought bravely! You have kept your honor.
Y/N: Boromir...
Boromir: Y/N, do not cry for me. You do not need me.
You continued to cry while Boromir faded away. You were never too close to him but he was always there if you needed to talk. Legolas and Gimli joined your side as Legolas clung to you while Gimli stroked your hair defensively. You all place him in one of the boats and let him float to the waterfall. You dare not cry again but you held Legolas's hand even so. All four of you walked in silence to the edge of the Riverbed where you had stopped before you went to get wood. You noticed Frodo and Sam on the other side and point them out to Legolas. He lets go of your hand and begins to push a boat into the water.
"Hurry! Frodo and Sam have reached the eastern shore." he said looking at Aragorn. You, Aragorn and Gimli stand still looking at him. Tears well up in your eyes. Gimli holds your hand.
"You mean not to follow them." Legolas said to Aragorn.
"Frodo’s fate is no longer in our hands." He said looking down helplessly. Gimli lets go of you hand and says:
"Then it has all been in vain! The Fellowship has failed." you all look at him. Then they all look at you. Legolas put his arm around your waist while you let a tear drip down your cheek.
"Not if we hold true to each other. We will not abandon Merry and Pippin to torment and death. Not while we have strength left. Leave all that can be spared behind. We travel light. Let’s hunt some orc!" Aragorn said as a grin covers his face. You all look at him confused but even you cheer up. You all quickly pack up and run through the forest, you think to yourself; 'another adventure is just beginning.'
The Two Towers will be written soon. I hope you enjoyed my story of you. Please vote and review!
