Machete

After alphys and I got done deciding where to hide the trail mix (alphys really wanted them in a locked safe with some sort of Lasers as extra protection...managed to convice her that a random spot hidden in my cloths would do) the kettle began to scream so alphys got up to get it while I opened up the two cups of noodles. when alphys came back all she had to do was poor the water into the cups. Alphys put the kettle back and sat back down. "Welp let's move onto the other odds and ends I brought eh alphys?"

Alphys nodded eagerly and watched as I pulled out the rest of the contents in my bag. Including my change of cloths, the first aid kit, the change of shoes and finally the machete. Alphys paused and looked a bit nervous when I pulled it out before she spoke up. "Um...what e.e.ex.exactly is that f.for?"

I blinked in surprise and looked at her and the machete before realization of how bad it must look for me to of had this. "Oh no no no it's not for anything bad i brought it along in case I got stuck in the woods it can be used to chop fire wood, build a small shelter and some other things that would help with survival."

Alphys seemed to relax at that before she began to eye it with new interest. "Min.nd if I see it for a mom.ment?"

I quickly nodded and passed the shedded machete over to her. "Knock yourself out."

I pulled my cup of noodles to me and one of the two forks that alphys brought over when she put the kettle back and poked my noodles to see if they were done. Watching her as she pulled the machete from the store bought sheath. I jumped in surprise when a few small bits of the machete fell out of the sheath once she had pulled it all of the way out. I sighed in disappointment ignoring alphys squeak of surprise. "Aw bad luck looks like it broke a bit during the fall..."

Alphys looked guilty at the blade. "S.sorry abo.out that..."

I shook my head and waved my hand in a dismissive way. "not your fault. Your not the one who saw a big hole and decided 'hey lets go down that!'"

Alphys laughed a bit at the way I had put it. "I.im sure th.thats not how I.it actually h.happened."

I shrugged. " Eh not really but it's more fun to say it that way."

Alphys laughed a bit more before studding the spot where the blade had been chipped. "Hum...looks like it was only chipped a few times at t.the base...I.i can probably fix it up for you if you want."

I blinked and looked at her before my jaw more or less fell open. She noticed this and began to blush. "W.w.what?"

I blinked and closed my mouth before I spoke. "You only stuttered like...once!"

Her blush deepened some more. "O.oh s.sor.ry that ha.happens w.when I g.get excited..."

I shook my head. "No problem really. You should talk like that more it makes you sound more confident."

I smiled at her as her blush that was calming down came out again. I chuckled a bit before sticking the fork into the noodles and taking a bite. I paused to swallow before I talked. "And it would be grate if you could fix it up for me...althow don't know what I would need it for down here...maybe just for show? Like a wall ornament?"

Alphys nodded in agreement as she put the machete back in its sheath. "S.sounds like a g.good idea to m.e."

I smiled at her and she smiled back as we both sat in silence eating our soup. After a bit we both finished and had taken care of the cups and forks. We both paused and shifted on our feat nervously before I broke the silence. "Well...im'a go and get some rest...see you tomorrow? Oh wait...would it be tomorrow? You know what? Later. Yay later works. See you later?"

Alphys smiled in relief and what I assume was humor as she nodded. "Yay se.see you later...I w.will bring s.s.some anime over a.as well! O.oh but that won't be f.for a wh.while so help yourself to t.the kitchen wh.en you get h.hungry."

I nodded in understanding before I began to head to where I believed my room to be. Before I left I made sure to tell her "Later" before I turned the corner and got a soft 'bye' in return.

Not much but I did not want to leave on a cliff hanger if I never got the chance to finish.

Anyways what would you all think of y/n being a Mage? (Gona try and get all of your input/give you options in the story more like I do with the nightmare one).
