Richie and Eddie were slowly becoming more comfortable being a couple together. Eddie was still very on edge with the whole thing, often crying throughout the night as he thought about what  his mother would say.

Richie would explain to Eddie that it would would be okay. But Eddie kept thinking of the words Mrs Kaspbrak would tell the boy.

The two laid on eddies bed with Eddie curled up on Richies chest, as he rubbed circles into the back of Richies skinny hand.

"It's almost lunch time, you should get there a couple minutes before I do. Just in case." Eddie said to Richie, still scared of people knowing the two were together.

"Okey." Richie said, smiling down at the boy. Richie loved the smell off eddies hair, like lavender and honey. It was always clean. He also loved Eddies soft face and the way his nose curved.

Eddie loved the smell of Richie as he laid on the boys chest. It smelled of strong cologne and citrus. Eddie breathed it in one more time before he got off the boy.

Richie saw the boy leave and sighed. He was so happy to be dating Eddie Kaspbrak. But he still couldn't stop the dreams that came to him every night. He couldn't stop the obsessive thoughts that constantly circled his mind.

The two headed to lunch, Eddie five minutes behind Richie.

When Eddie walked into the lunchroom Richie already had his food and was sitting with Bev. The boy grabbed a sandwich and sat down next to Beverly.

"Am I just a gay beard for you two?" Bev asked and the two burst into laughter, Richie almost spit out his food.

"Most likely." Richie said, wiping his mouth. Eddie looked as Richie took a small bite of a piece of bread. He frowned at his boyfriend who still couldn't eat anything.

"Hey," Beverly spoke up as Richie rubbed his foot against Eddies leg. "my friends are visiting again today, you wanna join?" She asked.

"Sure!" Eddie said as he also played with Richies foot under the table. Richie nodded also.

After lunch the three went to the day room to get their pills and wait for Beverlys friends to come by.

Eddie took the two pills he had assigned for lunch and Richie only had to take one.

Eddie was picking out a board game when he heard "Beverly!" From a familiar voice.

Turning around he saw Stan, Bill, and a new kid all lining up to hug Bev. Eddie and Richie joined the group at a table.

"Hey e-e-e-e-Eddie," Bill said Smiling. Stan waved also.

"Who's the new kid?" Richie asked motioning towards a boy that sat next to stan, he had brown hair in a bowl cut, and wore a hoodie. He was slim looking, and had dark brown eyes and pale skin.

"This, my friends, is Ben," Beverly said as she introduced them to Ben. The boy waved happily.

"Ben, this is Richie and Eddie." The three said hi and immediately jumped into asking what games they should play this time.

It was as if the six had been friends since they were five, all making jokes and telling Richie to shut up after he made an inappropriate one.

They didn't ask why any of the three were in the hospital, they respected that they didn't want to talk about it. And Eddie loved that.

After an hour of playing games, Bill raised his eyebrows at the two friends that acted so cuddly.

"Is there something going on here I don't know about?" He asked motioning towards Richie and Eddie with a smile. The two turned bright red.

"What? Noooooo" Richie said in a sarcastic voice, "you're just mad cause I banged your mom last night, " Richie said and Eddie shoved him on the shoulder, Richie smiled. 

Beverly then whispered that the two were in fact dating into bills ears and he smiled.

The group of six continued playing games and yelling at Richie until visiting hours were over and they had to say goodbye. Beverly gave Bill a hug and looked sad as he left. Richie noticed her face frown.

"Hey?," he said, putting his hand on her shoulder, "are you okay?" He asked.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Bev said looking at the ground.

"You like Bill don't you?" Eddie piped up, realizing that she had been making eyes at him the whole time.

"Erm.." She said looking down and turning bright red.

"Oh my god! You so do!" Richie shouted and she punched him lightly on the shoulder.

"Shut up!" She shouted and the three started laughing.

"I think he likes you too, he wouldn't take his eyes off you Bev," Eddie said and she felt herself blush. But inside she scolded herself for getting hope that bill could ever like her.

"Whatever," she said smiling and she walked out the door with the two.

They snuck to Beverlys dorm since boys weren't technically allowed in there, and the three played music on bevs Walkman.

Eddie sat in Richie lap, Richie running his hands through the boys hair. Eddie kissed Richies hand lightly.

"You guys," Beverly said as she sat down in front of the couple. "Once we all get out of here....you have to swear we'll hang out still." She said with a serious looks.

"Of course we will!" Eddie said excitedly, he was so happy to finally have people that cared for the boy.

"Yeah, no doubt Bev" Richie said as he tickled Eddie.

"Stop! Stop! I'm dying rich!" The boy giggled out at he tried to knock Richies hands out of the way.

"Bev grab his legs!" Richie shouted and the two attacked Eddie, tickling him till his sides hurt.

Eddie was bright red as he sat back up from the ground panting.

"Richard Tozier I will get you back for that," he said smiling and he tackled the boy. Eddie was now sitting on top of Richie as Richie laid on the ground. Eddie smiled down at the bright red boy and kissed him on the nose.

"Oh how will I ever get you back for that eds! I'm furious!" He said jokingly and the three burst into laughter.

It was the perfect moment.

The three sixteen year olds were finally happy in the Derry mental hospital.
