Chapter 1~

      Friday, November  10

I, Nicole, am just an average city girl who's trying to become a professional photographer. Well at least get there. I have everyone I need in my life at this moment to support me; family, friends, and can't forget about Liddle the cat that lives with me in my studio apartment. Keep in mind, I'm 20 and I take care of myself. I've worked harder than anyone can imagine to get to where I am right now. I'm not a party girl who goes out almost every night and gets wasted and laid. I'd rather stay inside and study or do something not to the point where I'm half conscious and doing something that I'll regret. Oh, and I can't forgot about taking pictures with every opportunity I get since Chicago is the perfect place for it.

     I was never the popular girl at school since I'd rather focus on my grades and shape my future. I also wasn't one of those girls who was desperate to get a boyfriend. I knew it would distract me and not have a good effect on my performance in school. Was I teased? Yes, sometimes. But was I a loner? No, I had my best friend Taryn by my side. Well, more like, best fake friend. Every time I remind myself of senior year in high school, I cringe and want to forget about it more than anything. Never have I ever experienced such a terrible event in my life that made me end up alone. But now, I'm glad it's all over and we've gone separate ways.

     It's a Friday night and Eva, a good friend of mine, tried getting me to get out to have some fun. But I decided not to and stay in to enjoy my evening. Why should I go out into the cold and waste a perfect night that could consist of some studying and some Netflix? As well as collect some ideas for my pictures. But, sometimes I do wanna go out. I'm young and want to experience that fun. I've gone out a couple of times and I enjoyed it but staying inside or doing something more calm is what I am comfortable with. However, I am planning on going shopping sometime in the beginning of the upcoming week so maybe that'll be something I will enjoy. But that's something that I will just have to wait and see.
