"SO I GUESS I DON'T GET A REPLY?" I ASK OF JAH AS HE STANDS BEFORE ME. If looks could kill, I would be completely six feet under by now due to the hard stare that he was giving me. Those brown eyes, and that strong jawline make me go soft a little bit too quickly than I want them to. I averted my own set elsewhere and away from Jah's. What surprises me next was his soft hand reaching for my face. It connects with my chin before softly yanking my vision upwards. He looks down at me, studying my face and what emotions I was showing. He was looking for something in particular, something I couldn't tell.
"Get your hand off me," I immediately become defensive and take my own hand to smack his away, leaving him the most bit shocked. Seeing this as an opportunity to close the door on him as he stands there appalled at me, I cease the moment and attempt to do so. Jah isn't dumb though. He sees forward what I am about to do and thinks quickly in the nick of time to slightly push me backwards. With not much force I may add. My feet make me stumble in his favor as Jah'eim walks completely inside of the house. His eyes wander around the home in pleasure. They finally land on the dining room when I get myself together, offended and disrespected at the same time. I slam the door, over the fact that he could be so arrogant. My hand reached for his large arm as I trudge behind his tall frame.
"Hey-" Without realizing how much force I was using, I finally take Jah's arm almost completely comes backward. His whole body jerks as he turns around. I could see Montie, Rayne, and Tank look up from their plates, worried about the animosity between the both of us. Jah was infamous for laying hands but it wasn't like he would ever do that to a woman. He might have ruffled one up a slight bit but never came to blows. So, he turns to me, glancing down at his arm that I yanked before back up at me again. I could tell he was trying to find where I had him messed up at but that's just the thing, I didn't.
"Don't march yo' ass inside my fucking house like you own the place when you disrespected me back at the hospital. I don't appreciate-" my sentence is left unfinished, hanging in the air. Jah had placed his pointer finger over my lips and the roughness of it came into contact with my soft upper one. I look down at his finger, wondering what made him do that.
"Shh," He says simply.
"I know damned well you ain't just put yo' fucking finger-" Rayne instantly hops up in protective mode. That's when Montie nearly aggressively pulls her back downwards and onto his lap. He gives her the look as if to say that's they business, stay out of it. Rayne decreases her demeanor slightly whilst folding her arms over her chest. A pout comes across her face like a child. She hated that Montie had that hold over her but she adored it at the same time. Tank does nothing despite Raye but instead looks down at his plate of food, continuing to eat. He knew his close friend was not dumb, let alone incredibly dumb.
"The fuck?" I move back and furrow my eyebrows. Jah puts his hand down, turning opposite from me and walking towards my dining room table in an almost slow fashion. I contemplate slapping the back of his head as he reaches the main area but decide against it. I shake my own, not understanding his actions at all. With that being said, I let out a low sigh and silent prayer for the night. It was going to be a long one if I had to deal with him. The thought of kicking Jah'eim out of my house became great but having Rayne upset at me just wasn't it. I silently take my seat at the dinner table noticing that the handsome face of Jah is right across from me. A coincidence? Never. Montie notices this as if it wasn't planned and chuckles. Rayne gets up from his lap, sitting next to me and making a smug look. Tank sat at the head of the table, watching everyone.
"So," I begin to pick up the spoon Rayne sat beside the crockpot for the hamburger helper ignoring those piercing eyes glaring at me from the other side. I help myself and grab two full scoops of it and place the spoon to the side. I grab two slices of garlic bread as Jah'eim reaches for one too. I immediately snap my hand back, not wanting to touch him. "How was everyone's day?"
