The calmness of the smoothly drifting limousine seemed serene to the couple sitting inside sharing a comfortable silence. They had finally left dinner, smiles blanketing their faces like paint that had long dried in place on a masterpiece. Had there been a level of happiness higher than the level Jah'eim had reached, he'd be floating in it right about now. He enjoyed being in the spotlight again, thankful for the love he received. Although success is always coming with his career, Jah'eim still remained humble. He had finally reached his peak, content with where is life had led him.
Definitely now carrying a change in heart.
As Jah'eim leans against the tinted limousine window with low eyes, he docks up an arm and bites on the nail of this thumb. As the stars gazed back down upon him, cars go whizzing by. A feeling of sonder plagues his emotions. The cool night air kisses his nose causing an unmistakable wave of nostalgia to hit him. He began to think back on his full 27 years of life, remembering high highs, and low lows. Jah'eim was so deep into his thoughts that the touch of rain to his nose doesn't phase him right away. Wiping it with his pointer finger, his ears perk at the sound of Danielle's contagious laugh. She sat next to him, engrossed in her phone and enjoying funny videos.
Dammit, she is so fucking beautiful.
A complete dime compared to the pennies he normally courted and threw away soon after on false dreams.
Jah'eim never once thought that Danielle would be the one riding in the back of the limo with him. He envisioned some random woman he'd pick up from a club, one he'd have his way with and send home the following hour. Danielle was just... so different. He wanted to take his time with her and learn her properly. He viewed her as if she was an artifact, showcasing her rarity so well. An artifact he would never let anyone else touch. Danielle sits clueless to Jah'eim admiring her side profile, watching a short form video on Instagram and laughing again. Jah'eim raises a brow and leans closer, watching the video with her.
Danielle slightly stiffens. Although she bad begun to get closer and closer with him each day, every time always seemed so different. His scent is always a pleasure to smell and the heat radiating from his body was comforting. Ever since the openly romantic kiss at the expensive restaurant in front of Jah'eim's lovely parents, fans and flashing secret cameras, the energy between the two had changed almost immediately. Juno and Scarlett are very protective of their son and don't normally take quick liking to the women he normally indulged with. They could see crystal clear that Parie and Danielle are not the same. Juno noticed how his son seemed to glow when she was around and Scarlett couldn't miss the way Danielle seemed to match his energy so well. Not to mention both Sonny and Jasmine adored her.
She was welcomed into the family so easily.
"I never thought I'd be amused at cats of all things." Jah'eim laughs as a tuxedo cat tries to tackle a large golden retriever dog. Danielle does the same, covering her smile slightly as she always does out of habit. He leans backwards a bit and takes her hand gently into his grasp. She slowly reverts to a giggle, curiosity nipping at her brain.
She took in his features with admiration. Jah'eim is the most handsome man she had ever been with in all her years of dating/living. Kane wasn't even as half of the person Danielle was looking at in front of her. He wasn't as lovely, caring, or as charismatic either. Hell, he couldn't even make her blush as hard as Jah'eim did. The blonde curls, the perfect haircut, high cheekbones and... the smile. Lord have mercy the smile. Danielle found herself getting lost inside of it every time Jah'eim spread his lips open. It was like a mad, raging bull showing her sympathy over everyone else. When he takes her hand and raises it for a slight peck on the back, goosebumps spread down her arm like wildfire. If her skin had been a shade lighter, the red on her cheeks would have given away the blush across them.
