"Is that everything?" I asked Jay as he put the last bit of Braxton's toys in his bag. I can't believe it, but we're finally leaving. I had already said my goodbyes to my family, which was pretty easy. The hard part would be telling Jay goodbye.

We were in such a fucked up situation and to even put a baby in the mix made things even worse. People say babies bring a family together or make a man stay but I definitely don't believe so.

"Yeah." Jay mumbled, bypassing me and walking out of Braxton's room. He has been such an ass today for no reason. We got into a huge argument earlier about nothing, literally and he's had this attitude towards me. He barely said two words to me and if he talked, it was dealing with Braxton.

"Come on baby." I said grabbing Braxton's arms. He wanted me to carry him but Jay told me to stop picking him up, so I stopped. He was getting pretty heavy too and that wasn't good for me to be holding him with another baby cooking in the oven.

He pulled his hand away from mine and pouted, "Well excuse me little boy." I said rolling my eyes. He was just like his daddy. Both of them were on their period.

We walked outside to see Jay putting our bags in his car since we had to take my rented car back. He would be driving us to the airport. Jay and I said nothing to one another as we got everything situated. Braxton decided he wanted to ride with Jay so he hopped in the backseat of Jay's car while I got in my own. He trailed me to the place to return the rented car and then we were on our way to the airport.

The car ride was awkward, quiet, and boring. I kept taking glances at Jay to see if he would ever get the hint and look at me too but he never did. His eyes stayed on the road the entire time.

"Did I do something wrong?" I asked because I was curious. The argument we had earlier wasn't even a big deal so I knew he wasn't mad about that and I did have sex with him this morning so he couldn't be mad about that either.

"Yeah, you about to disappear again."

I rolled my eyes, "No I'm not. Can you stop saying that? I've learned my lesson and I made a promise."

"You made a promise last time Bey. I just don't believe you."

I grabbed his free hand and kissed it, "I promise you will see me again. We'll have a set schedule. You can see Braxton whenever the time is right. We can Facetime and e–"

"Hell nah," He said snatching his hand away, "I'm not doing that distance shit. And you're pregnant again. You think I'ma raise this other baby being miles apart? You really have me fucked up. I'm not the type of guy to deal with that."

I frowned, "So what else is there for me to do?"

"It's called fucking sacrifices! What is in D.C for you? You don't have any family, you probably don't have any friends, so what else is there that's benefiting you?"

"A job." I said in a duh tone.

"You're a fucking Chemistry professor. Every University needs a Chemistry professor. There's plenty of schools in Houston and you telling me that you can't transfer jobs Bey? You really playing with me and my kids. You took me away from Braxton, I'm not letting you do the same for this one."

I rolled my eyes, "You weren't even happy, so please.."

He didn't say anything after that but I could feel his eyes on me. We had finally made it to the airport and came to a stop. We sat in the car for five minutes saying nothing until I finally had the energy to get out. Soon as my hand reached the handle, Jay was pulling my hand back.
