Chapter 3: Sofia's Trip

Sofia was so happy not to bump into anyone as she left the castle. She ran to the stables to get Minimus.

"Minimus?" Sofia asked opening tbe barn door.

"What?" The horse yawned deeply.

"I need you to take me to the village."

"Ok, Im up." The horse replied.

Sofia smiled as she quickly saddled up her horse.

The pair took off quickly. However, they were not aware of a pair of brown eyes watching.

Miranda was conflicted as she watched her only daughter fly away. She knew once Sofia remembered the day that shed go back to visit their old home.

Miranda wanted to comfort her daughter, but how? She wiped some stray tears from her eyes, willing herself to not loose control.

"Land here Minimus!" Sofia announced.

The horse landed in a small park. "Where are you going?" The horse questioned.

"It doesnt matter, I'll be back before sunset!" Sofia announced as she turned to leave.

"I hope so, Im afraid of the dark!" Minimus called after her.

Sofia ran off to her old house. She sighed walking in. "I miss you." She whispered to no one.

She walked into their old living room, remembering her dad laughing with her mom. Had it already been four years he had been gone?

She thought it through, around a year later was when she and her mother met King Roland. If her father never had died, then...she would never had become a princees, the SoryKeeper or even a Protector of the Ever Realm.

Sofia sighed again as she walked up the stairs into the room she shared with her mom.

All out of nowhere, a gong had sounded off. Sofia looked out her old bedroom window and gazed out admiring the castle from a distance. She couldnt believe where the time had gone! The sky was turning dark, Sofia had promised her family to be back for dinner! Wiping a few stray tears, Sofia hastily left her old house to return to Minimus.

"Sofia, are you ok?" The horse asked sensing the princess' emotions.

"Yeah, Im fine." Sofia said diatractedly as she climbed on top of Minimus.
