Chapter 24

Steve POV
Bruce came out of his room smiling like an idiot. "Did Clint tell you?" Natasha noticed Bruce. Bruce smile faded and he blinked, "Um, no. But I told... Well he found out I wanted to adopt him and he said he would be happy if I did." He started smiling like an idiot again. He wheeled over to the table and started eating. Clint and Percy came in not long after. "So, wheres Nico?" Percy sat at his place. "Well, he said he would be back and left. I have no idea though." I sat at my place as did Clint and Natasha. He just nodded. "Where's everyone else?" Natasha shrugged, "Wanda and Sam betted on something and Sam lost so he took her to dinner, Bucky is upstairs refusing to leave his room, Vision, is who knows where, and Tony and Rhodey went to some party." Bruce groaned, "He's going to come back with a girl and they're going to go to my lab and I'll find a naked Tony and a very confused woman. It's so awkward." Percy snorted and we laughed. Bruce glared. "Well, don't go to your lab tomorrow. Or at least till Tony comes up or whatever." Percy suggested. Bruce just shrugged, "I've done that and still have found a half naked and very confused woman." Percy just shook his head. We finished and talked about everything and nothing.

Nico POV
After I left Steve I went to some vintage shop. While talking to him I found out he missed the old days. He missed them a lot. I walked in and looked around for a minute. This is going to hella weird but who cares. I picked something out I knew would make him feel better. Or homesick but okay. I shadow travelled back to the kitchen and they were all talking. I came over and sat down beside Steve. "Oh hey Nico. What's that?" He pointed to the box I had. "It's got you. This is not weird." I directed the last bit at Percy. "Oh thanks? But why?" I just shrugged, "I just noticed that you miss the old days so I got you something I thought you would like. I know you don't have one also. Don't ask how. I just do." He narrowed his eyes at me but slowly opened the box. He stopped once he saw it. Literally he stopped moving and hardly blinked. "Um, Steve?" Bruce poked at him. "Good job, Nico. You broke him. What did you get him anyway?" Percy got up and walked over. Steve suddenly came back and just about killed Percy from moving his fists so fast. "Sorry. It's just, I haven't had one if these since I was twelve.(made up)." I blinked. "Thank you. This means a lot. The team doesn't talk much about back then besides Bruce and Peter so I haven't really told them about this." I smiled, "No problem. After saving the world however many times, you deserve it." He just smiled and picked out a band and placed it in and put the needle thing on and played it. Bruce and Natasha danced. Percy recorded and Steve just smiled and had a sad look in his eyes. Well, it was sad, but it looked like he was remembering something good. Eventually Natasha got Percy up to dance with her. They did the full thing from the spins to the lifts. "Who taught you the old ways of dancing?" Natasha asked once we all say down in the den. "Well, my mom taught a little then I took classes then Nico." I blushed as I remembered I did teach him. I buried my head in my hands. "Really? Nico?" Natasha was the biggest teaser out there and it was annoying. "Yes I did." I said not looking up, "What's wrong?" Steve asked amused, "It's weird. I guess. I mean, a guy taught a guy to dance a...very romantic way...I guess." Natasha snorted. Steve's eyes danced with amusement. Bruce was holding back a laugh and Percy just beamed. "Well, whatever you think. Where did you learn to dance?" Bruce asked. I thought for a moment. 'Where did I learn?' "I really don't know. I think my sister taught me." Percy bit his lip. Natasha missed it, "Who was your sister? Where is she now?" Percy looked at Bruce wild eyed. Natasha kept going. "Is she also a child of Hades? Can we meet her?" Steve noticed and cut her off before she could ask another, "Stop. It's fine." I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and Natasha finally noticed. "What? I'm sorry if I pushed." Percy just fell backwards onto to the couch. "I-It's fine...it's just...My sister was killed...maybe five years ago...and well, Percy was with her." Natasha's eyes widened, "I'm so sorry. I didn't mean...I'm an idiot!" She buried her head in her hands and Percy snickered. "You can be oblivious sometimes for a spy. Or an assassin. Whatever you are." Steve shook his head while laughing. "I'm going to bed. I'll see you all in the morning." He got up and left to bed. Natasha soon followed. "Well, Nico, for now you can stay with Percy. I'll get Tony to get you a room." I nodded and got up to leave but stopped at the doorway. "The walls are soundproof but I'll still know if you two did anything." With that he left leaving an two extremely red demigods. "Well. It's nice to meet you family." Percy bursted with laughter. I just sat there smiling. I made him laugh. Clarisse owes me twenty bucks. "Well I'm tired. Let's go." He sat up still laughing and led the way. We reached his room and we walked in and I whistled. "Woah. Your room is bigger than your old apartment!" He chuckled. "I know. Here." He threw some clothes at me. "Go shower. Knowing you, you probably haven't in a few days." I frowned. "Whatever." I went into the bathroom and stripped. I turned the water on as cold as it could be without turning off. I bathed then got out. I put on what I figured to be Percy's cloths and of corse they were too big. I got out and Percy was at his desk drawing something. I climbed into his bed and buried myself. "Nico? I didn't hear you come out." Next thing I know, there's a huge weight falling on top of me. "PERCY!! GET YOUR FAT BUTT OFF!" I heard a gasp. "You called me fat!" Then rolled off and faked cried. I of course just ignored him and tried to go to sleep. "Fine. Be that way." Then Percy got under the covers. "Your freezing!" He got out then back in and a blanket is being wrapped around me. "I took a cold shower. Like always." Percy huffed and snuggled against my back. I mumbled to myself, "I owe the stolls twenty. I'm a little spoon." Unfortunately Percy beard and he snorted. I elbowed him. "Ow!" I smirked "go to sleep." And sleep he did.
