Too late

Jimins pov

Entering the hospital building with a bouquet of flowers for my uncle, I was greeted by the nurse at the counter.

"Hello, welcome to Seoul Hospital. What can I help you?"

"Hi, I'm here to visit my uncle"

After the nurse showed me the directions, I thanked her and entered the ward room. There he was, resting on the hospital bed with tubes and wires around from him. My uncle actually had a lung cancer and because of his age to, he can't manage to handle the company anymore. That's why I took his offer on taking over his company. I felt pity for him. As soon as I closed the door with a soft click a weak voice called me followed by a soft smile.

"Jimin!... What brings you here? How's the work at the company? And.... What happened to you?"

He must be talking about my clothe that has coffee stains on it.

"I'm fine, I can manage everything so far and I decided to come here to visit you thats all. And... Its a long story" I say in a defeated tone.

"Ha... Tell me about it". He laughed a little.

I placed the flower by the table then pulled a chair next to the bed.

"I ahh... Kinda messed up something.. Really bad" I started.

"...Go on.." He spoke quietly.

"Do you somehow remembered a girl named (y/n)?"

He was silent for a second and snapped his finger. "Ah! It was (y/n) (l/n) right? Such a wonderful person. You guys were a 'thing' too right?"

"Yeah that's her.. And yes we were a thing"

"I knew it. Whats wrong with her? Did she cheat on you?"

I bit my lip and scratch the back of my neck nervously, afraid to tell him the truth. "Actually.. It's the opposite.."

He widened his eyes and shook his head in disappointment "Aaiisshh tch tch tch... What have you done Park Chim Chim?"

I hung my head low out of guilt and reminded of the incident back at the cafe. Her distress expression shall be my worst nightmare and her greatest betrayal coming from the one she trusted most. I deserved to be looked down after my actions.

"I don't know what came in to me. *sniff* I never wanted to hurt her" The tear in my eyes started to form and rolled down my cheek.

"I feel so guilty now... I don't know what to do"

I clenched my fist till my knuckles turned white.

Then a gentle hand stroked on my clenched fist. I slowly looked up with my red puffy eyet while bitting my lip hard to stifle a pathetic sob.

"Its ok Jimin... Every mistakes people make, some deserves a second chance even if that person don't truly deserve it because It's what us humans always do. But it all depends on the person that truly loves you most to decide if you deserve it or not. So, Jimin my son... Don't waste your second chance on regretting the mistakes you have done and blaming it on yourself. Fix it and do the right thing" He smiled at me and stroke gently on my hand which I returned it with a smile.

Suddenly, he started to cough badly till blood came out of his mouth. I widened my eyes and quickly ran out of the room and shouted for a doctor or a nurse for help.

"Jimin!" He exclaimed with blood stained the corner of his lip.

I turned around and ran towards him while holding his hand. Torrents of tears streaked down my face again.
