Chapter 13- A Discovery

Later that week before Vilu went to bed..

Angie: Vilu, you've asked me that question 5 times in the last 30 minutes!

Violetta: But I really think you are pregnant! You have been vomiting every morning and everything tastes weird, you even turned down a cup of tea!

Angie: All right, you have proven your point, now go to sleep.

Downstairs...

Angie's POV

Could I really be pregnant? I mean me and German did you know. Vilu is convinced I am pregnant, and sometimes I think she knows me more than I know me. And she seems so sure she is right, she is like her father in that way. But I am going off track, am I pregnant? I must know. I'll call Pablo and tell him I am sick tomorrow so I can't come in, then I will go and buy a test. I will tell Vilu what I am doing but no one else.

Next day just before lunch...

Angie's POV

Just breathe and walk in, how hard can that be, I mean it's not like I know anyone in there. Unless my mother is in there. Oh no what if she sees me, she will be so mad? Or Jade, what if she sees me, she will do something drastic. Ok Angie, breathe.

Shop assistant: Hello madam how can I help you?

Angie: Could I have a pregnancy test please?

Shop assistant: Here you go. £5.99 please.

At home

Angie: Anybody home?

(No reply)

(Angie goes to the bathroom and follows the instructions on the box.)

German's POV:

I came home from my meeting at about 1:00 pm. I heard sobbing from the bathroom, I knew it was Angie but I wanted to give her some privacy. So I left a note on our bed.

Angie's POV:

I came out of the bathroom and read the note that had appeared on our bed.

Dear Angie,

Please go up to the attic and follow the instructions there.

G xx

So I did as the note said. In the attic I found another note.

Dear Angie,

For years I loved your sister and this room lives in memory of her. I am sure she would be glad we are both happy. But next go to the room of the child María and I made together.

G xx

Again I followed the note to Violetta's room. I was not surprised to find another note.

Dear Angie,

Please go to our room, a surprise is waiting!

G xxx

Really all this just to go back to our room. But it is so sweet he did this!

In our room, I saw the most gorgeous dress on the bed with yet another note.

Angie,

I promise this is the last note. Please put this gorgeous dress on a gorgeous woman and come and meet me outside the front door.

When I went out of the front door I saw German standing in a suit with a limo waiting.

German: Would my beautiful girlfriend please do me the honour of going out on a date.

Angie: Yes.

20 minutes later...

Still Angie's POV

I can't believe the amazing restaurant German has taken me to. And he has decorated the table with roses, how did he know they were my favourite? Wait what is he doing? Oh my god! Is he?

German: (On one knee) Angie, a soon as I met you I fell in love with you. You don't know this, but I tried and tried to get Jade out of my life so I could be with you. But somewhere along the line, I became so blind to my feelings that I almost married her. But I didn't because I knew I could not live without you. I am so glad we have started dating again and I just can't lose you again. (Both begin to tear up) So to make sure of this, and I know it is sudden but, Angie Cararrá, will you make me the happiest man on Earth and marry me?

Angie: German, I (German's face drops) would love to. (He smiles) But (He frowns again) I have to tell you something first and after that I am pretty sure you won't want to marry me anymore.

German: Of course I will, just tell me.

Angie: Well... I'm.... pregnant.
