Chapter 14

Chapter 14:

Harry's POV-

After cleaning up the mess from the party and listening to my mom and dad go on about not lying and having parties without their permission, I was given back everything that was taken away. The first thing I did was text Zayn, "Hey man, I'm free! Want to go out somewhere?" I texted him. About a minute later, the doorbell rang. I checked my phone to see if Zayn had responded and he hadn't.

I hurried down the stairs and caught the front door before my mom, "I got this mom. It's Zayn" I said holding the door handle. "Already a friend over? It has not even been five minutes!" she said. "It's because I have friends who care about me!" I said turning the doorknob. She laughed and walked away. I opened the door and called to her, "Love you!" "Who's here I thought you were grounded?" It wasn't Zayn, it was Lauren. "No one. I said that to my mom" I replied, "What are you doing here?" I asked a bit confused. "Well, I know you are in trouble but I wanted to see if you could just come out with me. You know, just hang out." she suggested. "Well you came at a great time! I am actually free from all charges" I joked. She let out a small giggle, "So then you're coming with me?" she asked. I nodded. "Good!" she said, "go get your things." she said. "I don't need anything! Mom! I'm going out!" I called inside. I heard her reply but had no clue what she said.

We got into my car and I drove us to the nearest park. During the drive, I let Lauren play games on my phone, but what I didn't know was that she was snooping, "You and Zayn were supposed to hang out today. Not with me" she said. I snatched my phone, "I said play games, not look through my text messages!" I scolded. "Do you have anything to hide?" she asked curious. I shook my head, "No but-" "But you shouldn't be so nervous" she said matter-of-factly. I rolled my eyes and huffed at her, putting my phone on my lap. She sighed and looked out her window.

We had finally arrived at the park. "I was thinking we could just walk around here. Is that ok?" I ask her. She nodds and I unlock the doors and we both get out of the vehicle. "So! Harry, what made you want to all of a sudden ask me out? It seemed like you coould care less about me" she asked while she closed the door. I shruged, "I guess I never realized your true beauty" I said with a smirk as I met her at the front of the car. "Ready?" i asked. She nodded and slipped her fingers through mine.

We walked all throughout the park, stopping for water, looking at the flowers. "You like flowers I'm guessing?" I asked Lauren as we stopped at yet another pink flower. She bent down and smelled it, "Mmm! Yes I do!" she said enjoying the flower's sent.

About two hours went by as we strolled along and I saw some thick, dark clouds coming in and we were far away from the car. "We should head back" I said pointing up to the sky. She looked up at the clouds, "Oh boy! I don't think we will make it back in time!" she said. "Well we have to start anyways!" i said with a laugh and we started walking. Not one minute later it downpoured on us. "Up there! It looks like a rest stop! It has a covering!" Lauren shouts through the noisy rain. "Let's go" I shouted. She laughed and we ran to the covering.

Once we got under we just looked at each other and laughed. "You're a bit wet" I said as I looked at my soaked girlfriend. "Really? I didn't even notice!" she said sarcastically. "I guess we can wait here until this rain lets up" I say. She nodded and I pulled out my phone to see the time. 15 missed calls all from Zayn. There were 9 voice mails. Fuck. I screwed up! I forgot to tell him our plans were off. "Damnit" I cursed under my breath. "What's wrong?" asked Lauren. I shook my head, "nothing" i lied. "Can you give me a minute, Lauren, I have to make a phone call" i said. "Where are you going to go? There isn't much room for privacy" she said. I walked off the the very edge of the covering and called Zayn back.

After the first ring, he answered it. "What the hell! Are you serious? I was waiting at your house for ten minutes waiting for you to come out and when I get to your door, your mother tells me that you went out! Are you serious?!" he yelled at me. "Wait! I have an explanation" i told him. "Well I sure as hell hope you have a fucking explanation!" he yelled. "I- I'm uhh, out" I said. Damnit! Why did I say it like that!? "Out? What the fuck? So you basically said fuck Zayn, no one needs him!" he screamed. "I'm out with... Lauren" I said quietly. "Fuck her man! Are you serious? You really didn't even call, didn't care to even lets me know you were going out with her! Man! I get she is your goddamn girlfriend but I mean, bros before hoes! Am I right?" he said. I shook my head, "No Zayn! You aren't right! I really like her! Listen, I don't want to talk about her! I will make it up to you, tomorrow. No Lauren. Just us." I said. "At the Milky Way?" he asked. I thought about it and then decided we should go hang out by the Milky Way. We haven't been there since like four months. "Ok, ok! The Milky Way. Oh and Zayn?" I asked before he hung up. "Huh?" he responded. "Sorry, bro. I shouldn't have done that" I apologized. "What ever" he says and hangs up.

"Perfect timming!" says Lauren as I walk up to her, "I think the storm is letting up, wanna make a run for it?" she asks. I nodd. "Lets go!" she said excitedly and ran out into the rain. I ran after her and I caught up to her and now, somehow, it was a race to the car. I caught speed and she trailed behind me. After a bit, I turned around to see that Lauren was gone. "LAUREN!" i called out as I stopped running. At that moment, I didn't care about the rain, I cared about finding Lauren. I started to run back the way I came calling for her over and over. "Harry!" I heard her call from a distance. "Lauren?!" I called again. I heard her again, "Harry!"  I ran toward her voice and finally found her laying on the ground. "Lauren!" i said running up and croutching down next to her, "Are you ok? What happened?" I asked seeing the tears around her eyes and her knees full of dirt and mud. "I twisted my angle over that tree root" she said pointing. "Here, try and stand up" I said helping her to her feet. She was only standing on one foot. "Now put your foot on the ground" i laughed. She put a little pressure on it and then quickly jumped off it an put an arm around me. I helped hold her up, "So I guess you can't walk" I said. "Thank you Captin Obvious" she said sarcastically. I smiled. "But I can walk" I said and next thing you know, I lifted her off the ground and held her in my arms bridal style. "Harry!" she said as I picked her up. He hands went around my neck, "Now come on, lets get you out of this rain, huh?" I ask. She nodded and I walked back to the car.

As we got to the car, I sat her on the hood of the car and grabed my keys out of my pocket. I unlocked the doors and got some towels from the back. I put one on the driver's seat ad the passenger's seat. Then i put an extra one for me on my seat. I came around with Lauren's towel and put it around her and picked her up again and sat her in the car, her legs hanging out of the door. "There! All dry now" i said with a smile. "Thanks, Harry. You are really sweet to me, you know?" she said. I grinned, "Anything for you" i said, "Now let's get you all dried off" I say taking her towel off her body and wiping off her legs from the mud. I took off her muddy shoes and put the in the back seat on the floor. I wiped her arms off and then softly, i wiped her face. "There, all better" I said. She nodded, looking into my eyes. I leaned in and softly pressed my lips to hers.
