Chapter 36:

Ashton's POV-

That was a wreck! And it's all Harry's fault. If he didn't come hit Lauren and I, we would be safely in our homes and our relationship status would be taken.

Before the crash, I was going to ask her if she liked the kiss. And if she said yes... Well this is how I planned it.

*In Ashton's head*

"Did you like the kiss?" I asked her. She swallowed hard and didn't reply. "Did you?" I ask her again.

"It was unexpected" she replied simply.

"Well, Lauren, I liked the kiss and I want to kiss you for no reason whenever I want. Because I love you. And I want you to be my girlfriend" I tell her.

She looks at me with big brown eyes and smiles, "are you asking me to be your girlfriend?"

"Maybe. Only if you say yes! If you say no then I didn't ask" I smirk.

"Then it's a yes!"

*Now*

But it never went like that. Harry had to not be paying attention and hit us. And then he goes with her to the hospital leaving me stranded. I got a ride from the policeman and he drove me to the hospital. It took me forever to get the lady at the front desk to let me in to Lauren and when I get there, my girl has been taken by a guy who cheated on her.

I just wish I had another chance with her. I just hope she has a good time with Harry and he doesn't hurt her again.

"Well there he is! Shot down and still here? You're not going to get another chance with her so don't try" Harry says coming out of her room. I stand up from the chair I'm sitting in.

"For your information, I'm here because Lauren is just my friend now, no thanks from you, and friends are with each other when they need them the most. I chose to walk out anyways! She didn't shoot me down! If anything I shot her down." I say trying to feel better for myself.

"Ha" he laughs, "she doesn't give a shit about you anymore, kid, because if she did, she would have called after you! Plus, she even agreed that when she felt better, she would have sex with me" he smirks.

"Two things! One- my name is Ashton and I'd be glad if you called me Ashton not kid! And second- Lauren would never agree to having sex with someone who probably has herpes!" I shot back.

"Well, kid, she did! She's with me now. And she will never go back for you! Even if you were the last person on earth" he says.

"Son, I don't think you should ask her that first" I say giving him a taste of his own medicine.

Next thing I know, he is throwing a punch at my face. I dodge it as the staff hold him back.

"What's going on here! You two behave yourselves. You're grown men!" said the doctor.

"I'm the grown man while he is just some loser in high school" I comment smirking at him.

"Let me go! I'll calm down!" Argues Harry.

After struggling, Harry is let go but he has to sit in the chair.

"You're not in high school?" he asks after a while.

"No" I respond.

"Drop out?"

I give him a dirty look, "no, I graduated thank you very much."

"You're in college?" He asks amazed.

"Yea, deal with it" I say. I decide to leave out the part that I'm a drop out in college.

"Lauren defiantly shouldn't be with you" he mumbles.

"I'm going to pretend like I didn't hear that" I say.

"Why? Because you know you'd take her to college parties and get her drunk!"

"No, I wouldn't take her anywhere she doesn't want to go and she's allergic to beer... You would know that if you paid attention" I say.

"Is one of you Ashton?" a nurse asks stepping out of the room.

I stand up before Harry can, "I am" I say.

"Lauren wants to talk to you" she replies and walks away.

"Probably to tell you you're a douche and to leave her alone" Harry mumbles under his breath. I roll my eyes and go inside the room.

"Lauren?" I ask stepping in slowly. And closing the door behind me. She looks at me.

"I'm glad you're still here" she says.

"Yea, thats what friends are for" I say dully, "you wanted me?"

"Oh right! I wanted to say yes"

"What? You lost me" I said confused.

"You asked me out. I'm saying yes" she said clearing it up.

"What about Harry?"

"He is too protective and needy so I would never be happy with him. I've only truly been happy with you" she says.

I smile, "really?"

She nods, "yes. Now, come over here and kiss me!"

I do as I'm told and lean in and we kiss. It's a deep, passionate kiss that leads to harry charging in.

"Lauren! What about us?" He asks.

"What do you mean us? After what you did to me with Lindsey, there never was an us" she said after pulling away from the kiss.

I sat on the side of the bed and watched Harry get his balls served to him on a plate.

"What about the kiss?! You enjoyed it" he said.

"Maybe, but I enjoy Ashton's kiss more" she says pulling my face down for a soft kiss. I smirk at Harry.

"What was that Harry? Your plans to have sex when she feels better? That was all in your head" I say the last sentence in a baby voice.

"Fuck off bitch! And Lauren, when your done with this loser, so in two weeks, I'll be waiting" he said.

"You'll be waiting for a long time then" she says and he storms out.

"I don't think we are going to see him anytime soon" she laughs. I shake my head and kiss her more.
