So this is an alternate ending to the episode "Blood Moon Ball"! Hope you enjoy! Art is mine.
Marco rushed into the ballroom. He watched helplessly as Star danced with Tom, the anger rising within him. He could only stare as his best friend danced with that thing. Suddenly, a red spotlight shone upon the two, and Marco watched a fang filled grin of victory make its way onto the demon's face.
He considered going to stop them, but shoved the thought away, remembering what Star had told him. Marco needed to make sure that she was okay, and that the demon hadn't hurt her. He continued watching the two dance, they looked as if the rest of the world had disappeared, as if the other person was the only thing that mattered in that moment.
He clenched his fist, wanting to find a reason to stay mad. But his anger was replaced by a deep sorrow similar to the sadness he experienced when he had thought that he would never see Star again when she went through Mewberty. He once again turned his attention to Star, scanning her face for any sign of anger, sadness, anything that would give him a reason to grab Star and leave this place. But he couldn't. Nothing. Actually, she looked like she was enjoying herself. She looked happy.
Then, almost in sync, Star and Tom both leaned in for a kiss. Marco tore his gaze away from the scene, and ran, tears threatening to spill. As he ran, some monsters tried to talk to him or stop him, but he kept running until he was out of the Underworld. But, before he left, Marco stole one last glance at Star. She hadn't even noticed he was there.
After a few hours, Star came back. She had a dreamy look on her face. Marco still hadn't taken the suit off. He was sitting on the couch, mouth full of nachos. Star plopped down beside him.
In a sad voice Marco asked, "How did it go?"
"It was pretty good!" Star replied, not noticing Marco's upset tone.
The dreamy look on Star's face was replaced with a smile. She turned towards Marco.
"Decided to have your own Blood Moon Ball?" She asked noticing his outfit.
Marco chuckled.
Star grabbed his hat, putting it on her head, and continued in a slightly more serious tone, "Hey, thanks for not going crazy and coming to stop me. That must've been tough."
Marco laughed, then muttered, "You have no idea."
Fourtunately, she didn't seem to notice.
"You want some?" He asked, holding the plate of nachos out to her.
"Is that even a question?" She asked him, taking a large handful of the delicious food.
The two laughed, and began eating their nachos.
