A/N: Slight gore. Hope you enjoy! AStellarEclipse
Marinette watched helplessly from the streets of Paris. Tears were streaming down the girl's face. She wanted to do something, anything, to help. But that was not possible. At least, not anymore.
She looked down at the shattered red earrings on the ground, the limp, cold, small body of a kwami rested in her hands.
"T-Tikki, I- I'm so sorry. This is all my fault." Marinette choked out, between her sobs.
She looked up, seeing a dark purple-colored sky. Cat Noir fought Hawkmoth alone, high above the streets, atop the rooftops of the buildings. He kept looking around every few seconds, as if he was looking for a specific person. Her.
Cat Noir was losing the battle. Hawkmoth was gaining the upper hand. She looked around, trying to figure out how she could help him. But, just as she saw something that would distract the villain, she heard a loud thud on the ground behind her.
The girl turned around slowly, scared of what she might see. Her eyes rested on a horrific scene. The lifeless body of Cat Noir layed in unnatural positions on the streets of Paris, surrounded by blood from the fall.
The world around her stopped. She had killed him. And all he ever did was love and protect her. She took a few steps forward. She pried the ring off of his still warm finger.
He detransformed. There, in his place rested the corpse of the boy Marinette had loved. Anger grew inside the girl. She slipped the ring into her finger.
"Plagg...
Claws out."
The transformation began. She leapt up onto the rooftops with ease. Hawkmoth watched in disbelief.
Marinette stared at the man, filled with hatred. "I'm here to finish what he started."
She charged at him, raising her hand, screaming, "CATACLYSM!"
She struck him right between the ribs. He looked at her in shock. He screamed in pain while his body began to deteriorate into nothing but dust before her.
She watched as the wind swept away the dust. She looked down at the streets. The citizens where horrified. Horrified of her. Most of them began to run back inside.
The girl grabbed the body of the kwami and the remains of the earrings and fled. She wasn't going to be able to hurt anyone else. Not where she was going.
I hope you enjoyed! This was honestly way more angsty than I intended. Oops.
