The Quest

"Derek!" I screamed tripping over a rock. He had gotten back from his 'important meeting'. He backed over to me and helped me up. "Thanks!" I stood up and his shoulder caught my attention. There was blood dripping onto the sand. He rubbed a pink smear off his cheek.

"Derek? Why didn't you tell me?" I put my hands on his shoulder where it was bleeding and concentrated. "Heal!" I mutter under my breath. Immediately I felt the blood disappear and his shoulder heal.

"Thanks, but I would've lived." He mumbled rubbing his shoulder. I smiled. "Hey what's that sound?" I perked my head up and hear a sweet soft whistling like a flute.

"I'm not sure." We ran until we approached a nearby village. Jamil?

"Jamil? What are you doing here?" I asked. He looked up at us and brushed his rusty brown hair out of his face.

"Angel? Derek? I thought I would never see you again!" I ran up to hug him. Jamil was a friend from way back. He helped us through quests.

"I missed you!" I muttered. He walked over to a house.

"So this is my cabin, Isn't it nice?" Jamil opens a door and reveals a small lovely room. He sets down his flute on a cabinet and shows us more. "This is the living room, thats the kitchen, oh thats the bedroom." He points at many doors. I see Derek wants to leave.

"Cool," Derek said heading out. "Wait for me!" I shouted after him.

"Derek! Wait up!" I scrambled behind him panting.

"Slow poke," he mumbles. He bumps into a girl. "Oh... Sorry," He sits there staring at her. She was short and plump with green eyes and her red hair was in pigtails.

"It's okay! My name is Rose," she grinned at him "i'm the village alchemist!"

"Sweet i'm a traveler," he glanced at me "this is Angel, my uh... Partner," He blushed.

"Oh a blonde hair blue eyed sweetheart. What a shame," She mused. I gritted my teeth. She's lucky my magic is to heal.

"Where's the blacksmith?!" I shouted upsetly.

"Down the road sweety!" Rose happily answered. I ran down the street until I came across a black building with a sign saying blacksmith.

"Hello?" I say through the doorway. A man walks over toward me. "Who are you?" He asks.

"I'm Angel a traveler... I was wondering if-" He interrupted me "No we are closed!" he shooed me away. I stared at his left leg. It was in a cast. "Wait!" I shouted.

"What?" I walked toward him. "I can heal your leg!" I said trying to convince him I could really do it. "You, you can, well many people have tried! Ha ha in fact it's a dragon bite. Even the best doctors can't heal it," He chuckles.

"What about, magic?" I say holding up my hand letting a green aura surround it.

"M-m-m-m-magic?" He trembles. "Guards! Guards!" He slams his fist on a lever. Immediately many people walk in and grab me. "Dang you stupid healing magic!" I shout wishing I had something like ice or fire. I see Derek.

"Angel? What happened?" He tries to pull me away from them but they keep my tightly.

"Derek! Where are they taking me?" I shout tears falling from my eyes.

"Stay calm you will be fin-" Derek makes a quick shout of pain and collapses.

"Derek! Derek! Derek!" I scream.

"Huh?" I ask sitting up from a bed.

"Oh sweety! It's alright you're with Rose now! Oh! And about that brat... She's gone for good!" Rose cackles walking in the room. Oh No! Angel... She's gone? No she is stronger than that! I slip out of the bed and run out of the room. Door? Door? Ah! Door! I run out of the cabin and follow a trail of deep footprints. Obviously the men who made then were wearing heavy armor. Or carrying something heavy. I see them up ahead a large group of knights. I pull my hands in a fist and concentrate. Energy. Energy. The air. The sun. The ground. I grab the energy and pull it into my fists I fling a ball of electricity at the group. I feel myself speedup and I soon reach them. They all were laying on the ground. Of course! Metal armor attracts lightning! I scramble around and look for Angel. There she is passed out.

"Angel! Wake up!" I grab her and shake her shoulders.

"Derek?" She fluttered her eyes open and coughed. She hugged me.

"Quit it!" I shout pushing her off of me. I hated physical contact. I felt uncomfortable.

"Come on! You hate me don't you!" She started to cry.

"No I just..." I give up. "Let's just go." I stand up and pull her to her feet.

"Oww... Wait!" She says wrapping her hand around her leg. She muttered something and healed her leg. "Ok! Lets go!" She shouts.

"So, what happened?" I ask.

"I showed magic and they went crazy." Angel said.

Angel's (p.o.v)

"Shhh..." He whispers. I see a beautiful creature run in front of us. A unicorn. It stops at a short tree. Derek walks over to it. It stares at him, he bows to it. The unicorn let him pet it's back.

"Good girl!" He says enthusiastically. I walk toward it and pet it as well.

"This is Moonspark, I knew her as a little kid," He pets her mane.

"Oh, cool... So is it true that-" I was interrupted by an arrow whizzing by my head and plunging into the tree.

"What in the world?" Derek stands up and looks around. Another arrow scrapes Moonspark's leg causing her to fall.

"Angel!" He shouts at me.

"Okay I'm on it!" I yell back at him fully understanding what he's talking about. He's going to find whoever is shooting and I'm taking care of the wounds.I focus on the wound and heal it.

"Angel help-" His voice abruptly stopped. I looked back to see what happened. He was being captured by lots of men wearing the same black leather jackets. I stared at the man who was carrying him away. He had short blonde hair just like mine, bright blue eyes just like mine, and I noticed he had my exact same smile. He looked very confused and angry. Brother? I remember having one but when our village set fire he was separated from me. I was so confused. He didn't see me, but I felt something strange about him. He was the enemy... Hostile... He would kill me!

"Let's get out of here!" He shouts walking off. Moonspark was gone. I follow him through the bushes until I reached their camp.

"Let's get him ready!" He yelled tying him up on a post. He light a fire under his feet.

"No!" I yelled running out of the bushes. He stared at me.

"Cousin?" He barely mumbled. I slapped him in the face.
