Angel's (p.o.v)
As we walked back to the village we were showered with gifts. The seamstresses let me choose an outfit of my choice. I chose a light blue gown with a golden crown. We got delicious meals and Lunara was locked up. Everyone was happy and rejoicing until... A giant black dragon was flying overhead. Derek and I were escorted to safety. I wanted to watch but they warned me it was far too dangerous.
"But I can heal!! I can help the soldiers!" I shouted trying to get out.
"Nope!" The fat woman guarding me said. I wanted to stab her jelly belly.
"What about me?" Derek stood up and balled up his fist.
"Nope! I can't risk it!" She clicked her heels.
"Watch out!" I shouted putting up a force field. The tent was torn to shreds by a blast of fire. Everyone was safe.
"What in the world?" I asked looking around. A swirly green bubble surrounded us.
"Sweet!" Derek shouted leaping out. As he jumped he broke the barrier. He ran toward the dragon and threw a bolt of lightning at him. It looked at him and pushed him aside with his claw.
"Oww!" He shouts scrambling towards us. "It scratched me!" He shouted his hand over his cheek.
"Derek? You idiot!" I take his hands off of his face and ready my sword. I touch the bloody scratch and it heals. There was still a scar.
"Come on!" He shouted "I would have been fine!"
"Sure," I mutter.
"Now now!" We will go to the castle!" She grabbed our hands and dragged us to the huge building. She lead us through the front door.
"King! King! We just can't kill her!" A scrawny man runs in front of the king.
"Kill who?" I ask walking forward.
"None of your business!" The king shouts pointing a long sword at me. The woman walks over
to him and whispers in his ear.
"Oh, my apologies heros!" He grandly bows.
"It's a pleasure... But who may I ask are trying to kill?" I mumble.
"Oh... Follow me!" He walks down a long corridor.
"She is... Well..." When he gets to the end he opens a door. A young girl in rags sits with a hat over her head.
"Her??? But? She's only a child why her?" I stare at her she was wearing a black and blue outfit with faint floral tattoos.
"A child? A girl? She is a-" he pulls off the hood "dark elf!!!" She looks up and frowns her purple hair falls on her face. I notice her large pointed ears and light pink skin. She was crying.
"I'm sorry... The dragon attacked my home land and I... I... Stole food from a shop but... I didn't mean to hurt anyone!" She mumbled.
"Then what about this?" He pulled out a long staff with a sun. "This is obviously a weapon!"
I pulled out my sword.
"And is this a weapon?" I asked angrily.
"Of course!" He chuckled. "Why, its a sword!" I slash the sword at the girls neck. Nothing happens.
"Well..." The king was silent.
"Yes, and this isn't a weapon!" The girl stands up and grabs the staff and props it on the ground.
"It was a gift from my father before the place was burnt!" She shouted.
"Leave! Now!" The king shouted obviously upset.
"Ok!" I shouted grabbing her and Dereks hands and run out. The dragon was still flying around. When we reached the woods the elf grabbed my shoulder.
"Let me tell you my name at least!" She shouted. "It's Kaeda!" She huffed.
"Okay! Kaeda lets go!" I shout running into the woods.
As we walked along I heard a loud shriek. Derek ran up ahead to see what was going on.
"Stay back!" He whispered. Kaeda and me crouched under a tree to see what was happening. A small boy with blood stained hair was holding a scythe to a young girls neck. All below his chest was swallowed in a dark aura and his eyes were emotionless and still.
"Goodbye," He says hazily pulling the scythe up to cut her throat. Derek grabs a rod and hits the scythe out of his hands. I black out.
"Honey!" A woman called walking into the small room. "It's your turn to stir!"
"Ok mommy!" I shout not able to control myself. I walk into a tiny kitchen and stir a pot over a fire.
"Yum!" I yelled licking the spoon. She takes the spoon and sets it near the fire.
"Angel! Lets go get your brother!" She grabs my shoulder and leads me to another room.
"What do you want?" A small boy with blonde hair and blue eyes sits on his bed frowning.
"Dinner is ready!" I shout walking over to him.
"Ok fine!" He hops off the bed. "What is that smell?" He asks as we walk back to the small living room. Flames flailed everywhere burning everything. My brother was gone and so was my mom. I look around a force field surrounds myself and i am safe from the fire.
I gasp sitting up and grabbing Kaeda's shoulder.
"It's ok!" She whispers calming me down. I look and Derek was still fighting the boy. I black out again.
This time i see my brother sitting on a hill watching the fire. He's crying.
"Why are you sad little boy?" A mysterious voice calls off from the woods.
He turns and trembles. "Who are you?" He asks staring off at a tree.
"We are the spirits of the forest! We can make your dream come true!" A black swirl comes and floats around him.
"Really? I... I wish..." The swirl goes into him "I wish I could kill whoever started the fire..." He hazily mumbles.
"AAaahh... But you see they are already dead! But you can kill the next best... Your sister!"
I wake up trembling.
"Why?" I mutter looking at Kaeda. She shushes me.
"What do you want from us!" Derek shouts still fighting with the metal rod.
"I don't want something I want someone!" He shouts pulling the scythe to his neck. About to slice his throat I jump out.
"Stop!" I yell.
"... Sister..? I thought I had missed my chance... But now!" He swung at me. I grabbed my sword and swung it at him. He dodged.
"Wait? What's going on?!" Derek shouts.
"Stay out of it!" He yelled swinging his scythe at Derek. The weapon struck his chest but it didn't kill him.
"I don't want to kill you!" I yelled at him.
"Pity, I want to kill you!" He yelled swinging his scythe closer to me.
"Why? Why do you blame me?" I shout ducking and somersaulting under him.
"Because you set the village on fire!" He shouted swinging the scythe strait at my neck. As if everything was in slow motion I swung my sword and hit the edge of the darkness. Immediately I saw it slowly vanish and he disappeared. I fell over on the ground and passed out.
