Dead

I woke up lying on the arena floor. I wasn't dead but my sword was lying next to me with blood on it, I grabbed it. I wasn't injured but there was some blood on my chest. I stood up slowly and looked around. No one was there except for me and the dead carcasses. I looked around until I found a small staircase leading out of the arena. I climbed up clutching on to the rails tightly dragging myself up.

"Hello! Anyone!" I shouted as I finally reached the top. It was very silent except for the wind blowing my hair. I slowly walked until I couldn't anymore. I crumpled on the floor wishing someone would come and get me. Like Derek. I slowly passed out.

I woke up in a cold sweat. My shirt was still bloody and I remembered my sword. I grabbed it and held it out. I looked at it strangely. It had small wings on the hilt, something the blacksmith we gave it to must have added . I used it as a cane to walk to the nearest hospital.I Was sure I wasn't injured but I wanted to make sure.

"Hello are you okay?" A nurse asks staring at the bloodstained top of my jumpsuit. I had to wear it since I was healer. She took me to a small room and let me lay down on a bed. She said I had no wounds and I was good to go. She gave me some clean clothes. (A white dress)

"So do you have any relatives," She asked fluffing my pillows.

"No, just friends... That left me," I mumbled.

"Well that's too bad... Do you want to stay with me for a few days?" She asked smiling.

"Sure," I agreed. After I got changed I brushed out my hair. It was down below my hips and very curly. She pointed towards a small room and smiled. Finally I get to take a shower!

"Lucy, what do we do about Angel? She's GONE!" I shouted rubbing my head. We pretend killed Angel with her own sword and to make them believe it I rubbed some blood on the blade. Her and the blade where gone.

"She's dead, they probably took away the body!" She muttered. She grabbed a stray sword. and plunged it into the ground where her body was before.

"She's not really dead." I mumbled. She just gave a fake smile.

"Yah... I knew that!" She chuckled sarcastically. I gave up and left. We went back to the inn the rest of the team stayed at and sighed.

"She wasn't there," I mumbled. Lucy's hair looked softer and prettier, I leaned in for a kiss and she held a sword to my neck.

"Me no homo," She said looking into my eyes.

"What?" She had a ditsy look on her face.

"I mean oops I like johnson," She said twirling her hair.

"Since when?" Johnson asked leaning against the wall. I was confused. Lucy just facepalmed. Johnson gave a small smirk and leaned in for a kiss. Lucy ducked and walked away leaving Johnson kissing the floor. He scrambled off the floor and looked at me.

"Umm... Johnson?" I asked trying to figure it out.

"Well I heard Angel died, how'd you get rid of the pest?" He asked staring at me demonically.

"Well... She isn't really dead..." I mumbled.

"Well then what is she?"

"Missing."

"Ha, I'll find her if you let me kill her!"

"Never!"

"You are so hard to negotiate with!" He shouted storming to the door "i'll find her on my own!" I tried to stop him but he was just too fast. I ran down the road not even finishing greeting everyone. I ran into a woman. She had long silver hair and beautiful eyes.

"Oh, sorry ma'am..." I muttered walking away from her. She grabbed the edge of my jacket and stopped me.

"What... Is your name?" She asked covering her face with a handmade fan.

"Umm... Derek, I uh have to go!" I shouted trying to run away. But she stopped me again.

"I... I... Can you come over for dinner?" She asked again taking me by surprise.

"Umm... Okay but where?" I asked seeing as her face was turning red.

"The castle... At noon... Okay? Say princess Luna sent for you!" She shouted hurrying away. A princess? I started to walk away again to look for Angel. I looked everywhere I could think of and decided to take a break for lunch with the princess.

"So! Derek you're here!" She said smiling. She led me to the dining room and we started to eat.

" Yah, I was looking for my friend named Angel..." I mumbled as they brought out the food.

"Oh! Well we haven't seen any girls named Angel lately!" She shouted smiling. She motioned to the chef and he brought over a large pot. She grabbed a ladle and dipped it in. She pulled out some gravy and spread it on her plate. Another girl walked into the room and sat down. She had long blonde hair and wore a layered white and silver dress. A bow kept the hair out of her eyes and a silver crown sat on her head. She reminded me of Angel but didn't seem to acknowledge my existence.

"Who are you?" Luna asked disgusted. She glared back at Luna and sat down. Another woman sat next to her. "Annie, who is this woman?" She whispered to the other woman.

"Just a wanderer, I gave her clothes and a bath. Her name is Jenalia." She mumbled back to the princess.

"Yes, and you are?" Jenalia asked motioning to me.

"Derek," I said formally. She poured some gravy into her plate and ate it with a biscuit.

"MMmmmm! I haven't eaten such delicacies in so long!" She shouted with her mouth full. Luna gritted her teeth in disgust. I tried some and it was delicious.

"So Jenalia, do you travel alone?" Luna asked nibbling a biscuit.

"Yes, I haven't been in touch with many people lately so I was wondering if I could go see the docks! I really want to see the ocean and the fish and-"

"OK! We can go after we eat!" Annie shouted stopping Jenalia. So after we ate we went to the docks.

"Yay!" Jenalia shouted looking over the side of the dock. She started to get off balance and tip over. As she raised her arms to rebalance her hidden sword became visible. She gasped.

"Angel?" I asked confused. As I asked a whizzing sound went by my ear. A small dart hit her in the arm. She lost her balance and plummeted into the water below. I turned around to see who shot it. A familiar face peeked out to greet me.

"Hello, Long time no see!" Reyna said twirling her hair. "I've come for the angel!"

"Reyna? What do you want with Angel?"

"I don't want anything to do with her, boss does!" She smirked.

"And that is?"

"Hah! The blood warrior himself, he came out here and stumbled apon me!" She stepped forward "now let's finish the job!" I ran forward to stop her but she jumped too quickly.

"Hey, this isnt over!" I shouted jumping off the edge after her. I was hit with a large amount of cold water in the face. I opened my eyes and immediately regretted it. But, I kept them open for Janelia's sake. I swam around looking for them and was startled by a whoosh of bubbles around my head. I saw a mermaid sword fighting with Reyna.

"Angel!" I shouted swimming over to her limp body sinking. I grabbed her shoulder and swam up to the water's surface. I looked at her and her eyes fluttered open.

"Hey, Derek yah lets leav-" She was interrupted by a knife flying by her ear. She closed her eyes and fell asleep again. I threw her over my shoulder and looked around for Reyna, the scent of mermaid blood in the air I found her sharpening her knife a few feet away from me.

"Sorry, Derek but this is my domain. She flicked her knife back and cocked me a smile.

"I don't think so!" I shouted.
