A few days later, a rumour had spread that my dad was a psychopathic murderer. My mother had been crying in her room for ages now. The neighbours thought there was something wrong with her, and asked me if she was seriously in love with him. Did she really care about her children? Ect. ect. ect.

And amongst all these remarks and rumours, there was the simple truth- my dad does NOT like goths and doesn’t want me to have anything to do with them.

He told me when we got home from the mall that he had a best friend named Jake who was the greatest friend ever, until a couple of goths came along and turned Jake into one of them. And from that moment on, dad has hated goths. But people can’t understand that for some reason. They need a juicy reason for simply everything.
*DING!*

I turned off my phone and stared out my window. I tried to come up with something that could fix this mess, but nothing came to my mind. Eventually, I trudged downstairs and began collecting ingredients for some ice cream bread. I mixed all the ingredients together, moulded the mixture into little bread rolls and put them into the oven.

Dad walked slowly in and grabbed a can of beer out of the mini fridge.
“Hey.” I gave a little wave. He just grunted and took a huge swig out of the can. He shuffled out as I wondered once again why I couldn’t have just been the child of some major celeb. It would of made life much easier.

1 hour later, the timer went off for my ice cream bread. As I opened the oven door, hot air blasted out and the oven exploded in my face.

Randy skipped in about 3 seconds later. I turned to face him and immediately blacked out.

The last thing I heard was Randy shouting:
“Mum! Dad! Scarla’s dead! She exploded!”

After that, I recall thinking that I couldn’t be dead. I had a life to live! I was going to have 4 husbands and 5 kids! And then… It was a whole world of nothingness
