It was a few days after the dance and I was still living in my own little world, always thinking about what had happened and what was said and also Ethan. But mainly Ethan. But when I got to school, my world shrivelled up into a weak little ball of nothingness. As soon as I walked into the school, all I saw was a ginormous crowd huddled around something. And all I could hear from inside that crowd was two voices arguing. I pushed forwards to the front of the crowd. And there was Ethan. On the ground. And guess who was above him? Brad of course.

“Ethan! Are you alright?” I cried.
Brad spun around and glared at me. Than he gave me an evil smile.
“Hey babe! How are you doing? Ethan and I were just having a little chat.”
I quickly walked towards him, clenching my fists.
“Don’t even talk to me Brad Miller! You know what I can do now, and it’s a surprise that you even came to today after getting knocked down to the ground in front of the whole school by a puny little girl.”

He laughed. “Are you threatening me, Scar?” He swung his arm around me and leaned forward to give me a kiss. I cried out and punched him in the eye. He cried out in rage and let go.
“You little…” He began angrily.
“Scarla…” Ethan moaned from the ground.
“BRAD!!! OMIGOSH SOMEONE HELP HIM HE'S DYING!!!” Jessica was shrieking. I rolled my eyes. That girl must have gotten dropped on the head a few times when she was a baby because she has some serious brain damage.

I walked over to where Ethan was lying. Jessica came running up to me.
“Scarla!!! Do something! Brad is DYING!!!” She screamed in my ear.
I looked her in the eye calmly.
“Jess, I honestly don’t care about that creep after what he did to me. All I really care about now is Ethan. So please stop screaming like a lunatic and get lost. I don't care where, you can fall off a cliff for all I care, just get lost." I walked away from her towards Ethan while she gaped at me.

He lay gasping for air on the floor, looking around frantically for me.
“Ethan! What did he do to you?” I asked.
“I told him to stay away from you or else, then he got all worked up and kicked me…” He explained.
“Where did he kick you exactly?” I asked.
He looked down. I did as well and realised what he meant.
“Ah… That must have been painful.” I cringed.
He nodded. “It really was.”

I slid my hand in his and led him away from the crowd.
“WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?” A voice boomed.
Everyone looked around, and saw the principal, Mr Andrews, glaring at us. He noticed Ethan and I standing away from the crowd. He pointed a fat finger at us.
“You two come with me NOW!” He yelled.
We looked nervously at each other and followed Mr Andrews to his office.

Once we arrived, he motioned angrily for us to sit down. He sat down on his huge chair and glared at us.
“Sir, we don’t know what we did, but we’re sorry.” Ethan told him.
Mr Andrews sighed. His chins shook vigorously.
“Were you two involved with the use of cocaine with Mr Miller?” He asked.
“Excuse me?” I exclaimed.
“Brad Miller has been in my office multiple times because of reports that he has been smuggling in cocaine. He also has a small group that he has pushed into doing drugs as well.” He looked at me seriously. “Are you part of that group?”

I was shocked.
“When did this happen exactly?” I asked.
Mr Andrews’s eyebrows drew together in a frown.
“And what makes you think that I would answer that question? Hmmm?” He asked.
I looked down, embarrassed.
“Well, it’s just that… Well, Brad and I sort of… dated.” I stated. Mr Andrews didn’t move. “And when we broke up and I started going out with Ethan, he started acting all aggressive and… weird.”

Mr Andrews frowned.
“What do you mean by ‘weird’?” He questioned.
“He started staring at me all the time, and sent me creepy texts.” I answered.
“And he started trying to fight me, and practically assaulted Scarla.” Ethan cut in.
Mr Andrews nodded.
“What sort of texts did he send you?” He asked.
“Well, he sent one that said… here I’ll show you.” I said, and showed him the messages.
“Hmmm… This is very serious.” He muttered. “I’ll have to call his parents down, as well as Brad himself.”

Ethan flinched, but said nothing.
“Ms Stewart! Call Brad Miller and his parents please!” Mr Andrews called to the office lady. She nodded and picked up the phone.
Mr Andrews clasped his hands together and gave us a grim smile.
“Now all we have to do is wait for them.” He said flatly.
