An Unforgettable Summer

Chapter 1

(A/N I know it's not good now but it will get better, and I know I am not the best writer but thanks for reading ;)

Danni's POV

We are going to the airport tonight around 10:00 pm, and it's almost 9:00 am, I have no idea why I am up so early... I never get up until almost noon.. I have nothing to do and I know that Blair won't be up until at least 11 so she won't be up for at least 2 hours. I decided to go to downstairs to the kitchen and find something to eat.

I walked into the kitchen to find my sister with my phone in her hands, smirking.

"WTF ARE YOU DOING ON MY PHONE ROSE?!?!?" I shouted (my sister is named Rose, and she is 15)

"NOTHING!!!!" She yelled, running upstairs, still carrying my phone.

I follow her.

She runs into her room, before she can close the door, I put my foot in between the door and her bedroom. I run into her room and grab my phone. I look at what she was doing, I found that she was texting Sam Potorff, one of my best friends and my crush..

text convo between Sam and Rose

Rose: hey samm;)

Sam: hey Danni! What's up?

Rose: nothing, I wanted to know if you wanted to come over

Sam: sure, I'll be over around 11, if that's ok

Rose: it's fine with me, see you then;)

Sam: see ya Danni;)

Damn. It's already 10:30, I only have a half an hour. I rush into my room to find something to wear. It's June so it's pretty warm. I grab white high waisted shorts and a mint green crop top with a black infinity sign, I also put on my galaxy vans. I run into my bathroom and brush through my long wavy blonde hair and put it in a messy bun and brush my teeth. Since I don't have much time, I only put on Mascara and a little concealer. I look at the clock when I finished, 10:55. Sam will be here any minute.

I go sit on the couch while I wait for Sam. I decide to text Blair because she will wake up soon.

Me: hey Blair, Sam is coming over right now.. Text me when wake upppp:)

She didn't respond. Next thing I knew, Sam walked inside

"Umm. Come in" I said with a chuckle.

"Hey Danni" Sam said while pulling me into a hug.

"Are you excited?" He asked with a big grin.

I was confused. What should I be excited for? "What am I suppose to be excited for?" I asked completely confused.

"Going to Cali for the summer!!" Sam said smiling.

"Oh" I said, I wasn't that excited because Sam wouldn't be there and Blair and I were going, only because of work.

"Why are you upset?" Sam said wrapping his arms around my waist, which he never did so I blushed.

I didn't answer him and he warped his arms around me tighter. "Danni, tell me what's wrong, if you don't answer me then I will have to do something that I know will make you talk". What was he talking about? It was silent for at least a minute and then Sam spoke, "well now I have to do what I said I'd do". What was he talking about? And then he pulled me in and slowly leaned his face into mine and then passionately kissed me softly, I got butterflies in my stomach. Then it hit me -Sam Potorff, my crush just kissed me but I won't see him all summer, this is the only time I will get to see him for almost 4 months, I have to make this last.

SAM'S POV

I walked into Danni's house without knocking, like always.

She smiled at me. She is so beautiful but she just thinks of me as a friend and it makes my heart hurt that she can't be mine.. "Umm. Come in" she said while giggling, her laugh is so cute. "Hey Danni" I said while hugging her.

I can't believe that I won't see her all summer because she will be in Cali. I wonder if she is happy about going.. "Are you excited??" I asked her, I really wanted to know.. I looked at her and she had a look complete confusion.

"What am I suppose to be excited for?" She asked, yup, she was confused.

"Going to Cali for the summer!!" I responded.

"Oh" she said with a sad expression on her face. "Why are you upset" I said as I wrapped my arms around her waist, trying to comfort her and as a way to flirt with her. She blushed, it worked.

She didn't respond so I pulled her in closer to me, "Danni, tell me what's wrong, if you don't answer me then I will have to do something that I know will make you talk", I planned to tickle her because she is really ticklish, she didn't speak. "well now I have to do what I said I'd do" I spoke while smirking. I thought about how this is my only chance to make a move until September, and I knew that if I don't do anything now, I will regret it for the rest of my life. I leaned in and I was inches from her face, I slowly closed the gap between us, the kiss was magical, I felt butterflies, scratch that, I felt the whole freaking zoo!! I just hope she likes me back....
