An Unforgettable Summer

Chapter 24

MATTS POV

If Taylor thinks that he has a bigger chance with Danni than me, then he has another thing coming. After my date with Danni, I will ask her out and when she says yes, I will show her off in front of Taylor and make him so jealous!

***skipping before the date***

We walked out of the house and hopped into my car. I was planning on taking Danni to the carnival and then we could have a picnic on the beach.

"So where are we going?" Danni asked as I started the car.

"It's still a secret" I set my hand on her thigh.

"Mattttttttt! You can tell me!" She whined.

"Not yet" I laughed.

When we got to the carnival, Danni smiled.

"This is our first destination" I smiled. We got out of the car and I intertwined our fingers. "Where first?" I asked.

"Anything but the farris wheel" Danni said.

"Why not the farris wheel?" I asked.

"I am terrified of heights" she said. I really wanted to take her on the farris wheel so I could kiss her when we were up there.... I'll just have to find a different time to kiss her.

After the carnival it was time for the beach, I still haven't made any moves... Maybe Taylor is right, maybe I have no chance... But I still have to try.

I drove us to the beach and set up the picnic while she waited in the car. I walked to the car and opened the door, I picked her up and carried her to the picnic.

"Matt!! You are so sweet!!" She pulled me into a hug.

We ate and then went swimming. While we were in the water, I pulled her close to me and we both leaned in. The kiss was short but sweet, she smiled into the kiss. After that, we walked back to the car, got in and drove back to the Magcon house. I walked her to her house and we walked in.

There was a sleeping Sam and Ashton on the couch and Taylor was sitting in a chair, watching tv. Once he noticed us, he stood up and hugged Danni.

"How'd your date go?" He asked us.

"You say that like you want to hear about it" Danni giggled.

"You're right" Taylor said.

"Well, I'm gonna go back to the house, see ya Danni" I blurted. Danni hugged me and I kissed her forehead and left.

DANNI'S POV

"Can I spend the night?" Taylor asked as we walked into my room.

"You do anyway" I chuckled.

"But can I sleep in here with you?" Taylor asked.

"You know that you don't have to ask" I said. I looked at the time11:32pm. I grabbed black sweatpants and a grey tanktop and walked into the bathroom and changed into them. I put my hair into a ponytail and walked back out.

Taylor was wearing a white muscle tank and red basketball shorts. I walked over to my bed and layed down and got comfy. A couple minutes later, I felt Taylor pull me close to him. I felt so comfortable, I could lay here forever.
