For the last time "I don't want a mate !!!!!"

Facing the facts

*Taconnie's Prov *

I was so angry that I had tears running down my cheeks, why? couldn't they understand that I don't want a mate. I could take care of my self it isn't that hard!  Carmen came chasing after me from the house.

"Taconnie stop running please, come back!" Carmen said while grabbing a hold of my arm ,stopping me in place.

"What!? I snapped at them.

" You know having a mate isn't that bad, they take good care of you, they love you no matter what." Carmen started listing off good qualities about mates and I just couldn't take it.

"what about the bad stuff about mates!" I yelled at her " They take away your freedom, Their possessive ,I mean some girls can't even pee with out their mates following them. I finished my little rant and I seen Carmen's look on her face, I knew she figured it out. 

" it's not about them taking away your or them being a little possessive is it?" I just gave her  a look confirming her thoughts.

" You wouldn't under stand." a tear fell as I looked away.

" I under stand that your scared, but it's going to be ok!" Carmen said while pulling me into a hug.

" How do you know?" shaking my head " You never had to go out side the pride to find your mate; you and Leo grew up together! I cried harder in Carmen's arms.

" You just have to trust fate that it's going to be ok" Carmen whispered into my hair. I pulled away and node, This is why I love Carmen she knows how make you feel better.

Later that day after school I laid on bed thinking; that tomorrow I'm going  to  have to face they music and join the mate hunt weather I like it or not. Mom and dad stilled don't understand why I don't want a mate, it's not that I got anything against its that. Females have to go live  in there mates pride, and none of my family have found their mate out side of my pride. I have to leave all of them and move half way around the world.

The next morning I was dreading getting out of bed , I knew it was the day I had to leave home and find my mate. Waking down stairs I seen a huge breakfast lay out on the table I mean: bacon, Sauge , pancakes, French toast with strawberries , banana bread my favorite  and of course eggs.

" what's all this!" I asked my mom while giving her a kiss on the cheek.

" well this going to e your last breakfast at home for a while so I decide to go all out!" She said while hugging me tight.

It smelled so good me mouth was watering just looking at it. I seen Drew and Kira was here with little Annie and Leo and Carmen was down stairs as well.

 "Finally you come down , I'm  starving!" Leo yells dramatically; Carmen nails him in the ribs to shut him up. I just laugh and sit down at the table beside mom and Kira .

" Men!, don't know how to control their stomachs" I giggle with savannah and Carmen.

Time fly's when your having fun when your with family before I knew it the horn to gather for the mating group was blow and I was horrified.
