It's been a couple days sense the test. I've mostly just been staying home apart from going to the park outside the kingdom with Rider, he's asked where I went to a thousand times but I can't tell him... part of me just wants to forget it ever happened.

Sadly it's time for me to go back to the academy. I hate to go there with so many questions on my mind, but school is school.

Speeking of school, I'm late. Fuck.

I grab my bag and run, grabbing a couple pieces of bacon from a plate on the table. Mom already left for work, how sweet of her to cook this nice breakfa- NO TIME WHISTLER.

I run down the stairs and out the door, down the gray path towards my school. I'm running so fast I barely stop when I see purple eyes glaring at me from across the street. I open my wings to stop myself and look back.

I see the back of a dark figure dissapear into the alley. It looks like smoke.

I almost turn to follow it before, "Wind Whistler!!"

"O- oh hey Rider, what's u-"

"I waited for you outside your house for 30 minutes, where were you!?" He looks a little irritated, though honestly he's so childish when upset it's hard to take him seriously.

"Guess I slept in late haha..." I ruffle his hair and walk ahead, "You know I don't sleep much Dusty....."

"Yeah? Well you should...." he sighs as we enter the school. Hawk Flight Academy. As far as my basic understanding goes, every kingdom in Elementatia has one of these Academies, each one specializing in what the element of the kingdom needs to learn. First you go through Hunter class which is basically six year olds to ten year olds, then you chose to eather go into Warrior class, Defence class, or Mage class depending on what you're best at. I'm a Warrior class and Rider's a Defence class, but we've been friends sense forever and I would never abandon him despite all the competition between classes. Seriously, you would think all the classes would stick together sense we all have to work together once we're older but.... everyone hates eachother.

No matter, like I've said I love hanging out with Rider and I'd never abandon him.

"Hey, I heard they're serving some kind of Water Elemental food at lunch today, we've got a new cook and he's a hybrid!!" Rider giggled, "I've never eaten Water Elemental food, and imagine, a hybrid in our oun school!! So cool!"

"Don't talk so loud Rider, you're like, the only one who likes Hybrids..." I smile softly, he's so nice to everyone. Once there was this cat girl at our school and she got bullied alot because.... well no one really likes cat folk, their was a war a while ago and... well anyways, we were the only ones who hung out with her until she transferred schools.

"Well... they can master two elements, what's not to-" Rider stumbles backwards as he runs into a large figure. It's New Star, a Warrior class like me, "Oh! T- terribly sorry, I didn't...."

"Move it bitch boy...." he's kinda the school bully, the stereotype of rude and obnoxious, "Are you two idiots talking about the new cafeteria lady?" He laughs with a smirk plastered on his face,

"It's a guy, Star..." I scowl at him.

"Well I'm sure that doesn't matter, he's from the water kingdom for goodness sake...." New Star flicks Rider's nose, "I've got to get to class, but don't let the cafeteria boy fool you for a second. Everyone knows hybrids are eather evil or stuck up bitches."

I watch as he walks away. Rider's rubbing his nose quite annoyed, "He's so..... UGH We need more good people in the world." He sighs and pats me on the shoulder, "Well I've got to get to room 303.... meet me at lunch?"

"Yeah sure." He walks up the main stairway and waves back at me before I walk towards my oun class.

Am I evil or stuck up?

No- I'm not a hybrid....
