Hey all!  It's finally December, and I'm so excited! :D

So, I have a few announcements.  In honor of Christmas, the birth of our Lord and Savior, this book will be updated twice a week for the rest of December!  

This song is called, "You're Beautiful."  The lyrics are below:

I only really realized the true meaning of this song after my trip to Kenya, Africa for a safari.  We woke up at 5 in the morning(that's when the lions hunt), drove out into the African wilderness in a jeep, got to see thousands of animals- hippopotamuses, rhinos, elephants, zebras, giraffes, exotic birds, prides of lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalo, and other animals- and had lunch among the giraffes and elephants(our driver shooed away the hyenas XD).  Our resorts were the same kinds we had in Fiji: open, each family has their own villa, wild flowers, monkeys swinging above your head, zebras galloping past your villa, giraffes wandering around, that sort of thing.  Out of the 47 countries I've been to, this has been the best trip yet.

The best part was watching the sun rise over a magnificent landscape.  Watching wild animals roaming about.  No signs of human life.  Everything completely untouched by human hands.  Nothing but grass, trees, mountains, and rocks for thousands of miles.  That was how God intended life for us to be.  For us to live in harmony with the earth, with the animals . . . and with Him.  There was no arguing; no yelling; no sounds of cars; no honking; nothing but the sound of the wind in your ears and the distance sounds of lions roaring.  The world seemed to be at peace with itself.  You could feel the presence of Jesus.  When the rain came, it felt like His tears.  The wind felt like His breath.  The sun felt like His smile.  

I could almost see His face.  When I watched the sun rise over his marvelous creation, I would always sing:

I look up to the sky and say
You're beautiful  

Jesus is truly beautiful.  I know it's not the same, but if you ever have a free moment, I encourage you to go outside.  Don't just stay stuck inside your house.  Go outside during the sunset, and just watch the sun set in the quiet air.  And listen to this song.  It will put your soul at peace- no matter what you're going through.  I've been going through a really hard time(I'll explain it in the next chapter with the next song).  But this song, and being surrounded by God's spectacular creation, was enough to put me at peace.

This song also reminds you of another beautiful, beautiful thing.  When you're going through trials, hardship, pain, and suffering . . . listen to this song.  And know that someday, you will go to a place where there is no pain, no suffering, no anger, no hate.  As it says in Revelation 21:4:

He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever.

All you have to do is believe.  All you have to do is put Him first, before everything else in your life.  All you have to do is cling on to Him.  Run into His arms, and you will find peace.  You will find true joy.  Not happiness, that is fickle, that comes because of something else.  Joy, true joy, that no one else, that nothing else in this world can give you but the Lord.

Whatever you're going through right now . . . find peace in Him, and know that it will all be worth it.  Someday, you will see the face of Jesus.  Someday, you will go to a place where there is no death, no sorrow, no crying, no pain, no tears.  Only Jesus.  And Jesus will always be enough.
