Hey guys!  Happy Easter!  I hope that it has been amazing so far, and that God has really shown himself to you today!

Mine has been amazing so far!  My church put on an Easter drama, where I was an angel with glowing wings.  We danced to Forever, by Kari Jobe.  So far, I have had nothing but peace and joy throughout the whole day :)

On Good Friday, we went to our old church, which is super big, to watch an Easter show.  It's really popular, and really professional- they have real rain, and thunder(for when Jesus dies), and the crucifixion looked so real.  I was crying the whole time, especially on the part where the marched Jesus down the long aisle.  He was bloody, and staggering under the weight of a huge cross.  A soldier was behind him, whipping him, and every time he did so, it made a loud crack.  Each crack of that whip was like a cut in my heart.  I realized what Jesus really went through for us.

The next part is kind of disgusting and horrifying, so if you don't want to read it, skip the bold section.

Recently, I went to a camp, where the preacher was a little too serious(he told us if we didn't spread the gospel, our friends would die in hell because of us).  He told us the real torture Jesus went through.  When you're on the cross, nailed to it, you need to put pressure on your feet and arms in order to pull yourself up to breath.  Your hands and feet are nailed.  When you try to breath, the nails rip through your flesh and a lot of your nerves.  After a while, you just get too weak to breathe anymore.  Your lungs collapse, and you die.  Think about how painful that was.  What would you do if you were Jesus?  I would say, "Too bad they sinned.  I'm not going to die the most horrible death in the world to save a bunch of nobody sinners."  But Jesus did that for us.  Just think about how amazing that is.

I have 2 AMAZING songs to share with you guys.  Please listen to them.  The lyrics will change your life.

The first is Forever, by Kari Jobe.  The lyrics are below:

The moon and stars they wept
The morning sun was dead
The Saviour of the world was fallen
His body on the cross
His blood poured out for us
The weight of every curse upon Him

One final breath He gave
As heaven looked away
The son of God was laid in darkness
A battle in the grave
The war on death was waged
The power of hell forever broken

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

The ground began to shake
The stone was rolled away
His perfect love could not be overcome
Now death where is your sting?
Our resurrected King
Has rendered you defeated

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
We sing hallelujah
The Lamb has overcome

Forever He is glorified
Forever He is lifted high
Forever He is risen
He is alive, He is alive!

This song is so powerful.  Listen to it when you can.  Honestly, my favorite genre of music is Christian music, just because of the joy and peace it gives your soul.  These songs are even better to listen to than Star Wars music, and trust me, Star Wars music is amazing, and I am a HUGE fan.

The next is called Lamb of God, by the Vertical Church Band:

  Acquainted with our sorrow
To trade the debt we owed,
Your suffering for our freedom

The Lamb of God in my place,
Your blood pour out, my sin erased
It was my death You died
I am raised to life
Hallelujah, the Lamb of God

My name upon Your heart
My shame upon Your shoulders
The power of sin undone
the cross for my salvation

My God, there is no greater love
There is no greater love
The Saviour lifted up
There is no greater love

The Lamb of God in my place,
Your blood pour out, my sin erased
It was my death You died
I am raised to life
Hallelujah, the Lamb of God

Yesterday, I sang Forever the whole day.  Today, it is this song.  It touches your heart, and just gives you an indescribable feeling of joy, awe, gratefulness and peace.  "Your suffering for our freedom."  We are free now.  We are raised to life, because Jesus died our deaths.  He took our place on that cross.  We belonged there.  But he took the suffering, so we could have life, and freedom.

It is raining here.  If it is raining where you live, great!  The best thing in the world, trust me, in the world, is to go out in the rain and listen to or sing either this song, or another Christian song.  There, in the midst of God's blessings raining down upon you, you can literally feel his presence all around you.  It is so quiet. . .you can just forget all of your problems.  There is no one bugging you- you can sing as loud as you like, because everyone is inside.  So many of the times Jesus has spoken to me is in the rain, just worshiping him.  I have never regretted spending time worshiping Jesus, even when it has been an hour.  And don't just do this today.  Whenever you feel sad, lonely, angry, frustrated, alone, or whenever you just feel like you need Jesus, go outside and worship him.

By the way, I have a prayer request.  One of the popular, sassy girls at my school, is a Christian, but her dad makes her go to church.  Her parents are divorced.  She goes to a Catholic church.  She doesn't want to get to know Jesus at all.  Catholic churches are all about duty.  You have to go confess your sins, you have to go to extra services to pray to Mary, etc.(I'm not Catholic).  We've gone to so many churches and Europe, and they're all dark, and solemn.  A lot of chanting.  No kids running around, having water fights, having fun.

I used to only come to church for the doughnuts.  Our church was so big, I wasn't close to anyone.  And then, we moved to the church we go to now.  Everyone was just so kind, so welcoming, so loving, I was amazed.  They never judged you for anything.  I wanted to know what made them so different.  And I wanted to spend more time with them.  So I looked forward to going to church.  I went to camps with them, and my relationship with Jesus started.  It's grown stronger and stronger every day, because I wanted to go to church, where Jesus really showed himself to me.  I gave it a chance, and Jesus has soon come to be the best thing in this world.  She has never wanted to go to church from the beginning.

Most people hate her, because she's so mean, and sassy.  She gossips a lot, and as the popular girl, no one really likes her.  But I can see past her shield.  She's gone through hard times.  She's insecure, just like every other person in the world.  I just want to pray that she will come to know Jesus like I do.

I challenge each and every one of you to reach out to someone this week.  To show someone the love of Jesus.  Even if it is your boss.  The most popular kid at your school.  God can do amazing things that you never thought would happen.  This week, I am going to reach out to her.  I challenge you to reach out, get out of your comfort zone, and show someone else the love of Jesus.

I hope you guys all have an amazing Easter Sunday, and that God speaks to you this week!  I pray that all of you grow closer to the Lord each and every day, and that his amazing love will cause a change in all of us!  I hope you all find the peace and comfort only God can give!  God bless you all!
