Robin's mouth dropped open but he didn't protest. He would keep his friends safe. Even if it meant killing himself.

Chapter 6- All a dream

-JLA-

"Superman And Batman will go down and get some new supplies. Lantern you can go as back up if you'd like." Martian said finally giving in.

Batman grabbed his wing jet (jet pack) and super man grabbed other things they may need. Green lantern waited until they were finished. The other JLA members waved them goodbye and wished them luck........

The three Hero's were flying over head. They spotted two figures moving around and carefully surveyed them. Batman almost fell out of the air as soon as he realized who the smaller figure was.

"Superman, green lantern." He whispered.

The nodded as to ask what he needed. Batman pointed towards the two figures dressed in orange and black.

"Two of the immortals?" Lantern questioned.

Superman pressed a button on his ear piece. "Martian, where are the immortals?" He asked.

A buzz sound came from the communication device and a slightly muffled reply came back. "The one that isn't avoiding me is above ground. One is with it I believe. The other one is still Hiding beneath." Martian told.

"Thanks." Superman said hanging up.

Superman nodded that those were two of the immortals. Batman looked down and yelled.

"DICK!?"

Superman and green lantern looked at him shocked.

"Robin's down there?" They asked in unison.

Robin looked up, to his horror the man he called father flew overhead.

"Martian this just became a recon mission. I repeat rescue mission." Superman yelled into the ear piece.

The three Hero's flew farther down to stop 3/4 of the way there. Robin had a grimace on his face as slade turned around.

"Deathstroke! Where are you taking robin!?" Batman yelled seething with anger.

"To his parents grave." Was the simple reply.

The three Hero's gave perplexed looks to each other. Slade continued walking yelling at robin to follow. Robin looked between the Hero's and the single villain before complying and following behind. Green lantern threw a tracker onto robins boots before silently flying higher and continuing to watch. Robin looked behind to see them gone. His grimace deepened and he silently continued on. This was a rescue mission now. They would rescue robin. Slade could do nothing about it. Batman swore he'd take Deathstroke down.

Robin and slade had reached their destination. Robin said goodbye to his parents one final time.

"I love you guys, sorry I wasn't able to join you like I always planned." Was his final goodbye.

Slade motioned for Robin's arm and robin lifted the fabric up. Slade took out that clear liquid once more.
Unaware he had an audience.

"Remember Robin this is the last time this will be administered. You must be still. Do not move until I tell you to." Slade ordered.

Robin nodded much to the dismay of the watchers overhead. Robin stayed perfectly still while slade gave him the shot. Robin didn't want this. It was the one thing that was would enable robin to never leave slade's side. He hated it. He had to do it however. He would risk his life to that of his friends. After about half an hour the three Hero's had had enough. They came down and glared at the two in front of them. Robin wanted to get up and explain but slade hadn't told him to move.

"Robin, no matter what happens stay seated and Do. Not. Move." Slade ordered.

Slade launched at the three Hero's. Batman had planned to take slade out with an explosive Bata-rang, but Superman was faster and grabbed it from bats before he could. Robin watched in horror as his 'like an uncle' figure was then stabbed with a kryptonite dagger. His father thrown a cross the field and green lantern retreating. He fell unconscious due to shock.

Robin awoke from his dream with a jolting shock. That had to be a dream. All a bad dream. Slade didn't kill Clark and Bruce wasn't sent to the hospital. Luckily for robin this time it was all just a bad dream. The three Hero's had come for their supplies, but robin and slade never left the base of trigon. Robin got up and got dressed. Slipping on his metal plated boots, he walked out of the room slade had given him. He walked over to slade and fell in step just slightly behind him. As the two walked robin had remembered the previous night.

Robin had been lying in bed reliving the events of the last month. The last two days consisted of pain and a clear liquid. As in robin's dream, he knew the final shot was coming. He knew he'd be tied down to only one master. He knew he'd never escape the pre-determined path ahead of him. It killed him inside.
'Admit it, you enjoyed stealing for me.' Slade's voice echoed in his mind. He hated to admit the master villain was right. Robin did enjoy the thrill of it, however he knew it was wrong to. He knew he'd never escape. He wanted to with every fibre of his being but somehow he just couldn't bring himself to anymore. The last month had broken his mind. He was too far into slade's grip to ever be released now. He decided it was time to give in.

His thoughts were interrupted by the sound of a door opening.

"Come along robin trigon has orders." Slade instructed and robin obeyed, following him inside the room.

Robin and slade bowed respectfully. Trigon was pleased and both stood. The titans had been placed in a cage each bound to a corner instead of the wall. Raven however was bound beside her father's 'throne'. Never the less they were all shocked to see robin's display.

"Slade, come with me. I will brief you on your mission. Robin will stay here and watch the titans." Slade and robin both nodded as trigon began to leave the room.

Once both had left robin sat quietly on the floor waiting for slade's return. He knew not to talk to the titans as he would be punished later but his gut was telling him he should. So he waited for them to engage him. But they never did.

"Guess your mad at me huh?" He asked.

The titans turned and glared before giving off a distant look.

"Why friend robin? Why have you done the betraying?" Starfire asked solemnly.

"It's been a month dude! A whole month!" Beast boy yelled. Footsteps were finally heard but the titans continued talking.

"Not cool man, not cool." Cyborg noted.

And raven. Raven just gave a tired look before giving a faint whisper. "Just like Terra."

The door opened and an angry slade glared down at robin.

"Come Boy. Now!" He hissed out.

Robin hung his head and followed behind him. He knew what was coming now. A punishment and a shot.
