"And if we can't?" Wonder Woman asked.
"Then we do what we do with any other criminal." Bruce said sadly.

Chapter 15: From Where We Can't Return

"No!" Starfire yelled on protest.

"We must of the not treat robin as the such!" She continued.

"You don't understand girl-" Wonder Woman started.

"No! It is the you that does not do the understanding!" The pink haired alien countered.

"No, Wonder Woman is right. None of you understand. You don't how dangerous robin would be if he went villain. Robin would be about as much of a threat as the joker, maybe even Deathstroke if robin got serious enough." Bruce grimaced.

"If robin isn't a hero, then he needs to be fully quarantined permanently. He's too dangerous in the wrong hands. As much as I hate to speak about him as such, Robin is a living bio weapon that can not be detonated at any cost." Clark agreed.

The Titans were shocked and confused. Their fun loving leader wasn't dangerous, just overly obsessive. This was robin! He wasn't a bio weapon, metaphorically or otherwise. Before anyone could explain further however, smashing was heard from somewhere in the back. Everyone bolted towards the sound only to find robin fighting an old man.

"Alfred move!" Dick shouted.

"Young Master Dick, I cannot do that." Alfred said blocking as robin tried to lung around him.

"What is he-" BB began.

Bruce just gave a light and warm chuckle. He was fully aware of what was happening.

"Just watch." He said, glad no one could see his face, or smile as they were all behind him.

Robin finally getting serious ran towards the wall, leaping up and off before gracefully transitioning into a backflip right over alfred's head. The boy then raced down the hallway.

"He's getting awa-" Wonder Woman started before she was cut off.

"He's not going anywhere. Just follow." Bruce laughed.

The group soon found themselves in the kitchen, where a very angry Richard 'dick' Grayson sat huddled in the corner seemingly protecting something. That's when they noticed he was holding....a cookie jar? What? What did he have a cookie jar.

"Dick it's not even 9:30 yet. It's way too early for cookies. You haven't even eaten breakfast." Bruce scolded.

It was odd for those who didn't know than man under the mask, because Batman was currently scolding a teenage boy, the titans had never seen before, about cookies.

"Mine!" Dick yelled before darting off towards his room again.

The boy narrowly dodged Alfred on his way back, however he still had. As soon as dick was in the room he slammed the door and locked it, quickly slipping himself and his cookies under his bed. Dick enjoyed the first of many as someone knocked on his door.

"Dick..." Bruce coaxed.

"I told you, they're mine!" Robin growled.

Bruce sighed.

"And this is why you don't give robin sugar...." Bruce said quietly.

I remember when I made that mistake..." Clark joked.

"Yeah it took him weeks to cool off." Flash laughed.

"On the bright side....we know he's not going anywhere anytime soon." Diana said in hopes of lightening the mood.

"Alfred....were gonna need more cookies....." Bruce said honestly.

"I'll get right on that sir. In the meantime, allow me to cook for our guests." The man said before wandering away towards the kitchen.

An hour later found a mellowed down robin making an entrance into the living room, dressed casually in a red tee and black leather tight style pants, with his hair lazily combed cascading over his mask. He silently cursed Alfred and his magic cookies that always made him never want to leave. They were good cookies and he had missed them, so since he was stuck here he might as well commandeer them. The boy plopped himself in the couch and prompt changed the channel to Gotham news.

"Dick what are you looking for?" Superman asked.

"The news obviously." Robin said pointing to the tv.

"But why?" Wonder Woman chimed in.

"Because unlike some of you, I like the news. It's a good way to keep track of events and opponents movements. Sometimes you'll find a pattern and other times a potential client." Robin scoffed in response.

"Robin you don't need to scout clients!" Bruce yelled in fury.

"I'm not. I'm just keeping track of events. Besides, not like I can go anywhere even if I wanted to." Robin drawled as he pointed to the small anklet attached to his right ankle.

"If you aren't scouting, then why bring it up," Green lantern asked.

"Would you rather I lie to you and only give you half the truth?" Robin asked sarcastically.

"Um......no?" The green clad hero replied confused.

He was unsure what that had to do with his question.

"Well then there you go." Robin said returning his gaze to the screen.

"Why are you so admit about staying with that criminal!?" Wonder Woman yelled.

"Because it doesn't matter what I do, how far I go or how long I run, he will ALWAYS find me and drag me right back. The only way for me to escape is to die, and that won't be happening for a very very very long time, if at all!" Robin screamed, not noticing the single tear as it rolled from his eye and off his face.

"Dude, you'll die eventually. I mean that guys kind of immortal, but you have a normal lifespan, he's gotta give up eventually!" Cyborg said as if it were obvious.

Robin simply gave his head a sad shake in disagreement.

"No I won't." Robin spat angrily.

"What do you mean by the won't friend robin?" Starfire asked in confusion.

"Yeah dude! Your just human, you'll die a nice peaceful death when your ready..." BB said trying to cheer his former comrade up.

"No you just don't get it! I was human...." robin trailed off.

"Was? Bruce asked before dawning a terrified look.

"Don't tell me he-" Bruce was cut off by robin's nod of agreement.

Bruce's fist met the drywall faster than anyone could process what was going on. 'How dare he! No one messes with dicks genetics, no one!' Bruce silently fumed.

"That man is going to pay. He dares to have the nerve to use a highly experimental war drug on MY son!!!" Bruce raged as he threw a wooden chair, watching silently as it smashed into nothing more than splinters.

Bruce would make that man pay, even if it was the last thing he ever did in his lifetime!
