Day 3
It was 9 am the next day when there was a knock at the door. Jonathan, who thinks anything before 10 is early, got out of bed to see who it was. He swore if it was Luke taking him out again to shop for more crap he was going to murder the man then and there. The knocks got persistent and Jonathan decided he was going to murder the man anyways for waking him up this early.
Opening the door he was met with a smiling Evan and the cold air. Jonathan didn't really need to find a reason on closing the door on him. Jonathan then turned back around to go back to bed when the knocking started up again. He groaned knowing that this man he met 2 days ago wouldn't leave him alone; so he begrudgingly opened the door and let him in.
"Nice place you got here," Evan said looking around the place.
"There's the couch I'll be out in a minute," Jonathan said going to his room and closing the door.
Evan sat down on the couch and looked around the room again. There wasn't much the room. There was no Christmas decorations which Evan knew had to change. There wasn't even a Christmas tree for Christ sakes. Evan decided that'll be the thing they did today. They would go out and get a nice Christmas tree to just brighten this place up.
30 minutes had gone by and Evan wondered what was taking Jonathan so long. He got up from the couch and opened doors to see which one was Jonathan's. There weren't many doors to open so he found his room very quickly. Evan smirked as he saw a lump on the bed again. Taking one deep breathe, Evan charged towards the bed and jumped on it.
"FUCK," Jonathan said when he woke up to something heavy on him.
He glared at the source which seemed to be Evan as he was smiling widely at his discomfort.
"You left to change and here I find you sleeping. Come on we gotta go and get a tree," Evan said excitedly shaking Jonathan.
"Ugh alright get out," Jonathan said getting out of the bed and going towards his closet.
Evan got off the bed and left the room to let Jonathan change. Grabbing some warm black pants and a long sleeve blue shirt. He quickly changed and left the room. He didn't need to put on socks since he never really took his off during the night. He decided to change them later since he expected Evan had a short patience.
"God you took forever probably all the good trees are gone by now," Evan said making Jonathan roll his eyes.
"Whatever Elvan," Jonathan said.
"But I'm not in my elf costume," Evan said pouting at him.
"Could have fooled me," Jonathan said putting on his boots and coat.
"Alright Grinch lets go," Evan said dragging him along as he barely put on his hoodie.
"Isn't the snow wonderful," Evan said as they drove throw the snowy roads.
"It's cold and not fun," Jonathan said coldly making Evan smile.
"We'll have to play in the snow one time it'll be fun," Evan said as they pulled into a parking lot.
"Whatever Elvan," Jonathan grumbled as they got out of the car.
"Evan how are you," the shop owner said making Jonathan wonder if Evan knew everyone.
"I've been good Tyler I'm helping McScrooge here get a tree," Evan said pointing towards Jonathan.
"Shut the fuck up Elvan," Jonathan said and Tyler started laughing.
"Elvan that's too fucking good," Tyler said.
"Yeah yeah help us pick a tree Tylerrrrrr," Evan said as he walked deep into the trees.
Jonathan looked towards Tyler and then followed Evan inside. He did not want to have to introduce himself to someone new. Then it meant he had to buy more presents which was not on his list. He already expected that Elvan wanted a gift for Christmas for being so kind to him. It didn't really make sense that Elvan was doing this for him. He just met him 2 days ago and yet he acts like they've known each other their whole life.
"Where did you meet Evan," Tyler had said shocking Jonathan.
"He was working for Santa 2 days ago and decided to cheer me up," Jonathan said.
"That's Evan for you," Tyler said when they reached him.
"Isn't this tree perfect wet-blanket," Evan said making Jonathan roll his eyes.
"It's beautiful I wanna get out of here," Jonathan said as Evan grinned.
"This will do Tyler," Evan said as he helped Tyler take the tree.
"How much will it be," Jonathan said when they secured the tree to the car.
"It's on the House don't worry about it," Tyler said making Evan smile.
"You're the best; hockey match in two week right," Evan said and Tyler nods his head.
"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Tyler said as they drove off.
Jonathan stayed quiet on the car ride home. Elvan was happily humming the Christmas music that was playing on the radio. Jonathan wondered how in the hell he let Elvan convince him to get a tree. And yet here he is dragging a tree inside and setting it up so it wouldn't fall over.
"I'll see you tomorrow Stick in the mud," Evan said as he left Jonathan at home.
Jonathan sat down on the couch and looked at the empty tree. What is he doing...
