"GUYS," MAUREEN BABCOCK turned around from staring at the picture of Mike set up, the typical funeral music, playing in the background. "I just want you to know that it's okay that you're not crying. We each grieve over Mike's... death in different ways."
The boys all nodded awkwardly. "You're really putting on a show here, aren't you?" Zach questioned, glancing around the room.
Connor Carrick nodded, "yeah, how are we suppose to act? I've never been to one of these before."
Morgan leaned forward in his seat to look down at Maureen, "it's going to be okay," he stated politely, handing the lady a tissue.
"Thank you," she took a deep breath, turning to Connor. "See that's how you act." Connor turned to look behind him with a look of confusion on his face. Maureen turned to Morgan, "thank you again, sweetie. Coach would be proud of you." Turning her attention to the front, Maureen watched as someone appeared from behind the white curtain. "Oh here he is now!"
Mike had a huge grin on his face as he walked excitedly to the podium. "Are we suppose to clap?" Tyler muttered to James, him replying with a shrug.
"Hey everyone, and welcome to my funeral!" Maureen forced a smile on her face as she gazed up at her husband; her living husband. "Isn't this a cool fifty-fourth birthday party or what?!" He held back his laughter as he picked up a strawberry margarita. Some people in the room had smiled and chuckled lowly, well others look confused and scared.
"I actually thought of it when I went to my dear friend Chuck's funeral, and I thought: wouldn't he just be tickled to hear everybody's kind words?! So I said to Maureen, lets do it right now! Well I'm still here to witness and enjoy it! Plus this a perfect time to bring all my favourite people together in one room." He paused letting his gaze travel over the room before continuing. "Well enough of my yakking, lets get on with the eulogies, eh?" He smiled before raising his glass, "cheers!"

"Pour away the ocean and sweep up the woods, for nothing now can ever come to any good." Mitch wrapped up his speech, James being the lone clapper. "Thank you," he dipped his head before placing his folded up piece of paper inside his suit pocket before heading back to his seat.
"Mitch!" Maureen breathed, placing a hand to her heart. "Did you write that? God, that should be published!"
Mitch cracked a smile, "thanks Maureen."
Auston turned to him, muttering unimpressed, "you stole that from Four Weddings and a Funeral."
Mitch leaned over to whisper in his ear, "I didn't steal it, I preformed it."
