to get to the point, naomi is basically a carbon copy of sherlock, but little bit more sympathetic and nicer (?). she also has a partner, oliver, and they're not together. just really good friends, since grade school.
they meet through a situation with moriarty, doesn't matter if it was in the show or not, you can decide. they ended up letting him get away and a argument brews in between sherlock and naomi while ollie and john just kinda stand there. they break it up when naomi shoves shelock.
then like, a few chapters later, naomi and ollie go to baker's street to get help with problem. it's very bittersweet when they meet again, but the pair agree to help, then you can carry on from there.
i would do the first chapter with naomi and oliver to get a taste of their life. naomi is very spontaneous and always seeks for something to do, while poor oliver just wants a break. then, have them meet sherlock & john.
