chapter 10

Elizabeth walked in as I was fixing the dress.
"You look wonderful, miss" she complimented me.
"Thank you" I smiled at her. She had a rather large, duffle bag looking, bag in her arms. Awkward silence filled the room. She cleared her throat and waked over to the bed. She placed the bad down and opened it. She dug through it, pulling out various hair products and make up bags. "Follow me miss" she said rather shyly as she made her way into the bathroom.

She had finished my hair and make up and it was time for me to see. I turned and looked into the mirror. The girl that I saw did not resemble me much. My hair was pulled up into an elegant bun with a bit of wave in it. My make up was much more different than it was the night that I fist came here. The foundation matched my light skin tone and made my skin appear soft and fair, my eye shadow was just a few shades of brown and then it was topped off by a black eyeliner wing and a glittery cut crease (guys I will provide a picture but I don't know if cut crease is the right word. Sorry😂). My lipstick was matte red.
"Thank you so much!" I exclaimed, "it looks amazing". Elizabeth smiled at me that gather her materials in her bag once again and left the room. Only a moment after she left, Jackson walked in. He same up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waste. I turned to face him and he backed up, getting a better look.
"Honestly, we might have to miss this meeting" he said smirking. I blushed. He walked towards me one again and his lips brushed my neck. I gasped a little as cold chills were sent down my spine. I could feel him grin against my skin. His teeth nipped at my collar bone. Taking a risky move, I grabbed him through his pants causing him to tense up. He grabbed my hand and held it against the wall.
"Do not start something that you can't finish" he growled into my ear. I released myself from his grip, grabbing him one more time before exiting the room. I had never done anything like that but I know that I wanted more.
We arrived at the restaurant and Jackson opened my door for me and led me into the building. He was wearing a white button up shirt with black skinny jeans. He looked so handsome. He held my hand tight and led me to a large room in the back. It was dimly lit and had an elegant feel to it. Jackson assumed his place as alpha at the head of the table. I sat to his left and cane sat to his right. Other important members of the pack joined us. We waited for every one to be seated before the discussion started. "What are we going to do about the vampires sir?" A red headed man, sitting at the other end of the table asked. "We will continue to fight them off but war is inevitably among us" Jackson responded calmly.
"Their attacks are getting closer and closer to the heart of the pack, sir. I mean they attacked our future Luna" the same man responded in a worried tone.
"Yes I am well aware of that. Our defense team is in charge of battle plans and declaring war. They have assured me that within the month they will be ready" Jackson informed "I will keep you all updated".

"What are we going to do about the wedding sir?" A man closer to us asked. Jackson hesitated
"That is a matter that is to be decided by my mate and I" he declared. The group was puzzled.
"But sir... we have always planned the wedding during these meetings. It has happened this way for hundreds of years."
"I know. But I have made my decision. No more on the topic. Next issue" Jackson said squeezing my hand.

The decision stopped when our food was brought to us but then continued when they humans left. "Will we crown our Luna before or after the wedding?" A woman asked.
"That is for us to decide. No more talk about it" he answered with a harsher tone. The rest of the meeting went pretty much like that. I was glad to see Jackson stand up for our privacy. I know this pack needs a Luna but marriage should not be forced... even if he is my mate. Am I being too selfish? Maybe so...
