Chapter 4: The first crack

Day 45; everything seemed perfect. We started to get closer and I was a lot happier. Everything was working out for me, until it happened.

It refers to others knowing about our relationship. I am not sure how, but someone had spread it around. That made Cheryl upset and I could not do anything to fix it.

Not long after, she was also faced with another problem. There was a dispute within her class and it could not be resolved. Hence, I had to stay away from certain friends because she insisted. I did not like being forced to do that, but I had no choice.

One day after school, they all had planned to solve everything. Some of them gathered at the nearby bubble tea shop. I joined them while waiting for Cheryl. Without realization, I was engaged in a conversation with a group of boys and girls.

Cheryl, being one to be easily jealous, saw that I was "flirting" with other girls, and shed tears of jealousy. I knew she was upset and angry, and I knew I could not do anything to solve it.

"Let's all go the red tomatoes to solve this," commanded Joe, a classmate of Cheryl and was known to solve issues within his class.

All of us slowly made our way to the red tomatoes and sat down once we were there. Me, not being part of the dispute, just sat down watching them. I was worried for her, as she was already not in the best state of mind and now she has to argue.

Out of a sudden, she started shouting. Instinctively, I quickly stood up and tried to calm her down. To my horror, she shouted even louder back at me, "YOU F*** OFF!". I was caught off guard, and got hit by it hard.

I decided to leave the scene, thinking it would be better for her. I quickly walked off and even shed tears as I did. I know I was at fault, but I did not think that was necessary.
