CHAPTER NINETEEN; IN THE NIGHT

    Logan's heart started to beat out of her chest and what felt like butterflies erupted in her stomach, but it wasn't butterflies, it was her stomach dropping in fear.  Not only was she sitting in the rental car in complete and utter silence, Finn had never said a word since he had met her parents, or more so... her father.

  She knew that her father was a strict, intimidating individual, and the Mexican roots seemed to make him more scary, but she had never seen him act towards another man like he had acted towards Finn. It made Logan regret even introducing Finn to her father.

  Finn had felt Andres' cold stare on the back of his head during the whole meeting back at the arena, and he usually never felt nervous about meeting another girls parents, not that he met tons.. but this time it had felt different. Perhaps it was because of how much he had cared for Logan, and he wanted her father to like him. He was beyond relieved to be back at the hotel along with Logan, and now, he felt like he could finally breathe easy.

  "About my father.." Logan trailed on after they walked into the hotel room. She wasn't sure what to even say to him as she began taking off her sneakers while leaning against the wall.

  Finn turned around upon hearing her soft, delicate voice. "He looked like he wanted to kill me." He sighed out, running his sweaty hands over his cheek. 

Logan looked down while she ran her tongue over her bottom lip. "I know, he's a complicated individual, Ferg." She told him while walking towards the bed in the middle of the room and placing her championship on it, then walked towards Finn, wrapping her arms around the base of his neck. "I've only brought one other man to meet him, and he ended up breaking his trust.." Logan had looked away from the caring stare of Finn, knowing that he knew she was talking about Seth without even saying his name.

Finn had so many unanswered questions about Logan's past with Seth Rollins, and why she felt such a strong connection to someone who had broken her heart into a million pieces. He had never fully understood their friendship, even when Bayley had informed him that things had ended badly between them a few years ago, she still left out why  they had broken up. He wanted to ask her, drag up her past but he felt like she would instantly push him away, ruining the built foundation of their trust over the last two months.

But he was too afraid to ask her, afraid that he would lose her once again. He could wait for her to explain what had happened between them when she was ready to talk about such things with him.

 "Look, I know you didn't sign up for the girl with daddy issues, but I just want you to know that winning my father over will take time.."

 Finn shook his head while his grip on her waist tightened. "No, love. I signed up for everything when I kissed you. I want you, and all the complicated things that come with it."
