CHAPTER ZERO: BETTER THINGS

It almost seemed like it was just yesterday when Logan got the call from Hunter himself. "I would love to have you as an addition to the Raw Roster."  He had told her, and by the way he had said it she could tell he was smiling.

She was completely honored to have received the call from a business man like Hunter Helmsley. She had never dreamed in her life that she would be in the position she was now. Growing up in Mexico, she was just known as a little girl with loving parents under the name Logan Anne Jane, but now, now she could say that life had gotten better for her, under the circumstances she had been put through. She had always thought of that saying, 'Life gets better,' she would have laughed at that when she was younger, but now... she found herself laughing at her younger self.

At the age of twenty-seven, she could not say that she had met her peak, where life was fulfilled for her. Logan believed that the best was yet to come. She had become a better picture of herself over the years, and perhaps that was because of who she became, a known role model.

Logan Perris.

Logan Perris had been through hell. Logan Perris went through the most brutal matches that WWE had ever seen a women do. Her body had scars that people would call ugly, but she saw the inner beauty of her battle wounds. She had been through tables, chairs slammed on her back, and she had broke her knee from a cage match.

She had her arm broken in a match and still competed after the deed was done. She had broken bones, suffered every pain she could imagine and she was still standing, ready to take the next punch.

Never had she disappointed her fans, never had she choked on her own words when she competed with another. She delivered everything with a hint of confidence and her opponents showed her the respect that she deserved, even when she didn't believe she needed it.

And that's why Hunter wanted her on his brand. She wasn't just a woman with pretty face and charismatic words. She proved her words with a packed punch, she was intelligent, worthy of everything that she was given. She proved herself in TNA to be the best, undefeated diva.

She hadn't been seen in a ring in almost six months, but that didn't stop her from training, and working out; making her body the best it could be and more. She pushed herself harder to come back to TNA only to have her expired contract and the words, "We don't want you anymore," to be shoved in her face.

Everything that she had worked for, shattered in complete devastation around her feet. She felt her world crash around her. Her dream snatched out of her hands, until NXT had reached out to her and offered her a place there to grow her physical strengths. To reach the stars and hopefully find a place on the Main Roster.

That's all she had ever wanted; to wrestle.

She had packed up her boots after loosing to Asuka, and damn, was that an amazing match shared between two incredible women. The only woman who could even compare herself to the Empress of Tomorrow, Asuka herself was surprised with the fight the girl gave her, and after earned her respect.

The two shook hands after the complete brutality they gave each other, Logan could barely stand at that point and it was when Asuka had caught her in her arms that the crowd had went wild that night.

They had become friends after that, and the friendship shared between them still grows today. She found Asuka to be hilarious, the woman had no care in the world of what people thought of her and she found that inspiring.  She had made friendships, broke them in her previous wrestling careers, made love, broke hearts.

She was called Poison Ivy after all, with a kiss of death that would put you to sleep.

She still remembered that night when she had told the NXT universe she was retiring like it was engraved in her brain forever. Deep within, but never forgotten.

The crowd roared as she stepped into the ring for the last time, or so she had thought it was her last. She had stared out into the crowd, men whistling at her while looking down at her as she wore tight jeans and a grey cropped hoodie.

She took a minute with her head down and a smile on her face as the universe cheered around her, showing how much she had changed their lives for the better. "It's time that I retire,"  She had spoke into the microphone and it was that moment where things had changed, people booed, not wanting her to leave.

"I've made incredible experiences in NXT, and competing in this ring was an honor." She had spoke once again, and it was then that the entire women's roster had come out, clapping their hands at the woman standing in the ring.

She smiled, her teeth glowing a purely white as her head turned, looking out at the division that she had almost conquered. She did in her eyes, every Queen's reign must end, and loosing to Asuka was a sign that hers had. "But it's time that I moved onto better things,"

The crowd was silent for a few times, but a chant broke out through the crowd, "Thank you!" The crowd repeated, and Logan had tears springing in her eyes from the respect that she was given. "You see, I've gotten a call from a certain someone.." She looked back up, wiping at her eyes. "I've been moved into the Main Roster-"

She had been cut off from pure happiness from the children, and adults that sat in their seats. Once again, cheers erupted and Logan found herself nodding with them as they chanted, "Yes!"

"The Queen is moving into Raw, and she is prepared to cause chaos." She smirked into the crowd. "She is prepared to continue the broken reign, and make it better."

"I will show everyone what a real woman does in the ring."

A/N:

Well hello there!

This is just the chapter that will explain what happened before the story begins, what do they call these, Prologue? Lmao. I wanted to at least get something up for my readers to read. I also wanted to get some insight on Logan and where she comes from.

Also, I will be posting about Logan Perris in my OC Book, so keep checking to learn more about her, if you wish.

I have already gotten votes on this story, and I'm truly grateful for the support that is already shown for a story that has barely begun. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
