They arrived back at the mansion late and Elisa was already asleep in the backseat and Demi could just about keep her eyes open.
"Grab her. I need to talk to Steve about something important. Goodnight Demi." Wilmer rushed of further into the mansion leaving Demi to pick up the little girl and carry her into the mansion with the help of two guards by her side but they never spoke. They had straight faces, only looked forwards and where guiding her up to her room with Elisa.
"I'm done for the night. Goodnight." Demi smiled softly at the guards but they didn't smile back, they gave her a stiff nod before walking away and she closed the door to her room. She knew they'd be standing outside; probably waiting to see if she'll try to run with Elisa.
Demi turned around and looked at the comforting bed, she couldn't wait to dive into it however she noticed the room that was locked when she'd first arrived was now open so she curiously walked in and discovered they'd turned the room into a room for Elisa.
Demi smiled as she glanced around the bright room it had all the things little kids would love: a huge bed with Disney princesses on, a TV hanging on the wall and facing her bed, there was many different toys including an iPad laid out on the dresser (probably to keep her occupied since she was always bored) and another door on the other side of the room but she knew it was probably an indoor closet since there wasn't any wardrobes to put clothes in the room.
Demi walked through the room with the little girl in her arms and gently laid her on her new bed which she instantly cuddled up to the teddy bears laid out on it. She left the room, turning off the light but leaving the door open so she'll be able to hear if anything's wrong.
Then, she chuckled seeing the sight before her. "Oh Wilmer Valderrama, you really can get everything you want." A huge balcony, just like the one at the hotel, has been installed and her windows had been removed and sliding doors had been placed in instead.
As Demi had gotten comfortable on the balcony and quickly fallen asleep due to her tiredness, across the hall Wilmer was puzzled.
"They can't be! If my dad finds out they'll have more dirt on us." He hissed at his best friend who's eyes also widen.
"My wife is not getting put in danger because of you Wilmer!" Steve growled, the fear of his wife being killed terrified him to no end. He's tried everything he could to keep her out of the Mafia but if it gets out that Demi and Dallas were sisters then they'd go after both and try to blackmail Wilmer.
"My dad's a clever man, it won't take long until he looks through your background." Wilmer paced, something he did when he was figuring out a plan. "Take Dallas to the safe house where my mother is but make sure there's more security placed there. You can see her as often as you want but make sure nobody's following you, after we've killed my father then she can get out of there." Steve nodded.
"What about Demi?"
"She's staying with me," when Steve gave him an alerted expression but he shrugged, "She's better protected with me than any other security around here. Besides, she wanted to stay here."
"She's got a child Wilmer, you need to make sure there safe!"
"They are with me!" Wilmer's eyes turned menacing and Steve knew to back down.
"Fine." Steve muttered. "We need to figure out our plan to kill him Wilmer, he's always one step ahead of us and by this rate we'll be the ones six foot under."
"I'm working on it."
"No, your not. Your playing house with them while we need to focus on staying alive." All of a sudden the thought of loosing his wife dawned on him and he didn't have time for Wilmer to be loosing focus with Demi, they needed to protect the woman they care for (even if Wilmer won't admit it).
