Kara was just an ordinary girl.

Nothing special has happened to her. She studied, she graduated. She learned to fight. She learnt to live off the land. Let's face it, she knew all the basic stuff. However, her parents didn't want her to go mining, as it was dangerous, so imagine their surprise when she got herself a diamond sword at the age of nine.

When she was young, people would think that she was adorable, cute, even. And when she grew up, the people's reaction was suddenly transformed into," Wow! She's so hot!"

It was true, her sky blue eyes seemed to be the sky itself, clear and beautiful.

She wasn't a glamourous girl, and that was what everybody loved about her. Her beauty came from the inside as well as the outside.

When she graduated, she moved from her original village, to a city called Hessif, for more job opportunities. Also, her friends lived there, so that made sense.

So, you figured, a peaceful life without much worries wouldn't be much trouble, right?

Well, you are wrong.

It all started with the apocalypse.

She started hearing news of two people with supernatural powers flying around, laying waste to the land. Burning entire villages to the ground until all life was gone from there, and basically destroying everything.

She started to worry.

Word spread of how fast the destruction was spreading, and fear was in the air. She heard of the two demons. One with eyes the colour of fresh blood, while the other with pure white eyes like the void itself.

She didn't knew her life would go downhill from that moment on.

It all started when she received news that the village where her parents lived in was destroyed.

She remembered panicking. She packed all necessary supplies, along with her trusty diamond sword. Leapt on her horse, and rode.

She knew that the demons were only on the move at night, so she travelled by day, careful to cover her tracks at night, by building shelters that were near undetectable.

The nights were awful. She would hear the growls and moans of zombies as they passed through, and the hollow clanking of skeletons as they walked past. She could hear the noises of the other mobs as they came close, and she would clutch her sword to her chest, unable to sleep almost the entire night.

At each morning, she would break camp, and continue her journey on horseback.

Soon, after a few days of travelling, she had arrived. The ruins of that village was barely recognizable. It was just ashes.

She remembered running to the place where her parents lived, only to discover that they weren't there. She looked around the village, and as she stepped, she heard a crunch.

She looked down and stifled a scream. She had stepped on someone's ribs.

She gingerly withdrew her foot and walked on. She walked on the once existent path only to find dozens of corpses.

The bodies were decaying, and the skin of the dead were turning pale or yellow. Various wounds were inflicted on those recognizable bodies. Some were even being violently ripped apart that they were completely covered in their own blood.

She even saw some lying on the ground, obviously died of being electrocuted alive.

Kara was horrified. How could anyone do that? How could anyone commit mass murder and slaughter so many people in such a gruesome way?

The answer was simple. No human could had done that. It was an act of pure evil.

It was the act of the Devil.

She didn't find her parents. She didn't have the heart to do so. She knew that they were dead. No one could had escaped those monsters.

She choked back a sob, and her unearthy scream of loss and pain echoed through the silenced air of the village.

She sat there for who knows how long, lost in misery and pain. She looked at the ruins of the village, and the bodies that were slowly decaying there.

Soon, an orange glow spilled across the landscape, signalling that it was almost time for the demons to come out again. She would not be safe out in the open.

She then built a hasty shelter, and hid inside it. Inside, she thought for so long, restless. The pain of loss started to shape itself into something else. Anger.

She came to a new conclusion. Instead of sitting there, weeping for her parents, she would avenge them. Starting by killing those two demons. Herobrine and Entity 303. Or rather, the demon who had the power to control lightning. Herobrine.

She doubted her ability, but at least she would die trying. If she were to die, she would die with a smile on her lips, knowing that she had tried.

When she came around the next morning, she sped off on her steed, going as fast as she dared. She knew that the monsters were fated to descend on her village, and she wanted to be there to fight them and try to avenge her parents.

Then that fateful night came.

He came in the middle of the night, and caused mass havok. Kara clutched her sword in her sleep when she heard the chaos. She knew that he had arrived, judging from the sound of the sizzling of electricity.

She stepped out of her house, rubbing her eyes sleepily, her diamond sword strapped to her side, covered by her long robe. Her hand had practiced going to the hilt a thousand times and drawing the sword out, yet, her hands suddenly felt clammy with sweat. Her heart pounded hard against her chest with excessive force, threatening to jump out when Herobrine looked at her.

The legend's lips were curled in a cruel sneer, his diamond pickaxe's blades were elongated that they looked like scythe blades. His glowing white eyes emitted a harsh light, as small sparkles of electricity danced on his skin.

But when he laid eyes on her, he suddenly froze, as if he was being zapped by something, and Kara did too, to her own amazement. There was something about that very man standing before her. Something that wasn't supposed to exist.

The harsh glow from his eyes seemed to fade, and a mist that seemed to had clung to his eyes vaporated. He lowered his pickaxe, and the blades retracted to their original length, as he walked towards her.

She knew it was something she shouldn't be involved in, but the feeling stretched towards her. Instead of feeling despair as the legend walked towards her, she felt hope.

She saw a glimmer of something in his eyes that made her hesitate about drawing her sword. She somehow knew that she was wrong about him.

It was never as simple as avenging her parents, wasn't it?

She found her heart answering her unasked question.

No. It is something more.
