Mark hesitated with his fist up to the door, ready to knock. He pulled back and turned to the group. "Okay, what's wrong?"
"What?" Chase asked on behalf of them all.
"You're all far too quiet." Mark grunted, then glanced at Dark who was staring at the wall, his suit a little disheveled and hair mussed, his aura flickering at random. "And something is very clearly wrong with him."
Dr. Iplier cleared his throat. "It could have something to do with being locked in a basement."
Mark sighed. "I don't have good reason to trust any of you. Actually, I have pretty good reasons NOT to trust MOST of you. Half of you have tried to kill me, at least once."
"Cry baby." Wilford mocked.
Mark grunted. "The point is, I'm not just going to give you free reign of my house while I'm trying to sleep!"
"Ve may as vell tell him." Dr. Schneeplestein shrugged. "Ve vere up late trying to solve this problem."
"Problem?" Mark rose an eyebrow, leaning against the door.
"Ve vant to be children about as much as you vant us living in your house." Dr. Schneeplestein explained.
Wilford snapped his suspenders. "The ladies don't dig this. Apparently there are laws, and apparently those matter to people."
"People keep taking my knives away!" Anti growled.
Mark sighed. "Okay... this is good. So, do you guys know how this happened?"
Chase tilted his head. "Well I mean I think it all started when-"
"Enough!" Dark's aura flashed brightly before he was able to contain it, and he sighed, trying to readjust his suit. "We do not discuss our matters with... him."
"We've talked about this." Mark sighed. "I don't know what you have against me, but I don't have to be your enemy."
Dark glared up at him. "You know what you did."
"I... I really don't." Mark sighed. "Fine though, have it your way. When you're ready for help, I would fucking love to get you out of my hair." He turned around again, knocking on the door.
Mrs. Bolton opened the door and took a deep breath, smiling. "Good morning."
"Is... that a Kevlar vest?" Mark asked quietly.
Mrs. Bolton glanced down before zipping up her sweater over the vest. "Just a precaution..."
Mark nodded a little. "Probably a good idea. Hopefully they won't be too much trouble today, they all seem pretty tired."
She stepped back, opening the door wide. "Well, come on in." She smiled, watching as Mark guided all of the sleepy boys inside. "Maybe we'll have nap time today." She chuckled softly.
"Sleep is for the weak!" Jackieboy Man shouted.
Dr. Iplier yawned, leaning against the armchair in the living room. "I am a doctor. A weak, weak doctor."
Dapper nodded a little, placing his hands together and against his face, leaning his head to the side and closed his eyes. Dark groaned. "We still need to figure out how to fix this."
"We are watched more closely here." Google reminded. "Perhaps it would be best to let them sleep. I could use a good charge myself. The basement is a more secluded location."
Dark considered this a moment before he nodded. "You may be right."
"The percentages of our plans being heard are much higher here. I have done the math." Google urged.
