Everyone was chirpy about the party of Doyle, if I remember his name correctly. It was funny how I didn't know a thing about the guy Doyle, but I was still invited to his party.
Hazel had told me that the footballers' parties were the coolest and the most awesome. She told me that I should be honoured to be invited to the party.
Soon, the bell rang and snapped me out if my reverie. As I took out my history book, Ms Dallas entered the classroom.
"Hey." I swung my head around to see Mike sitting next to me. He offered me a polite smile."Hey," I said.
"Uh, Doyle told me to give you the code for the party," he said.
I looked around as I signalled for him to speak. Suddenly my eyes fell on Jeremy. He was glowering at me from across the room. It seemed as if he was going to murder Mike and me.
"Goo-goo, Gaga." I heard and looked back at Mike.
"What?!"
"that's the code."
I raised an eyebrow and stiffled a laugh. "Who on earth made that code?" I asked.
Mike chuckled too. "well, you're supposed to think of impossible codes so other people don't guess them." he replied as we looked in front and pretended to concentrate on what Ms Dallas was saying.
"O-kay."
"Hey, sometimes cool parties have to have dumb code names." I laughed quietly at this as Ms Dallas announced, "Mr Stark, would you stop looking around and concentrate on me." suddenly, she realized what she just said and blushed. She hastily corrected herself, "I mean concentrate on what I'm teaching."
I looked back at Jeremy. His eyes were still on Mike and me. His jaw was clenched and his eyebrows were furrowed. Then he looked at Ms Dallas again and managed a smile which I knew was totally fake. "okay Ms Dallas." he said and gave her a wink.
I rolled my eyes. What, now he was flirting with a teacher!?
"Wow, Jeremy looks like he's in a mood." Mike whispered to me.
I smiled. "He has been for the past few days, remember? That's why he crashed his parents' car in the first place." I whispered back.
Mike bit his lip. "You know why he's been so angry lately, don't you?" he asked. He seemed a little hesitant now.
I looked at him, confused. "No. Why? Am I the only one who's missing out on that information?"
"Uh, no. Actually......forget whatever I said to you."
I rolled my eyes. "Best friend secrets?"
He didn't answer but just gave me a smile.
We both looked in front again.
Jeremy's friends were really supportive and loyal to him. He was actually lucky, considering the fact that he didn't deserve Mike and Drew. But what could get Jeremy in a temper? I mean, it didnt really matter to me. I hate him. But now that Mike mentioned it, I was a little curious.
As the bell rang, everyone filed out of class. I packed my bag as Hazel and Laura waited for me.
"So, you excited for the party?" Hazel asked as we stepped outside the classroom.
"Yup, and you guys should be too." I replied.
Laura looked at me confusedly. "Why?"
"Because you guys are coming with me too."
Now Hazel laughed. "Sure, why not. Obviously not! I don't want to crash a party I'm not invited to."
"Well then, I'm not going either."
