Chapter 5 - Calem

Looking out the window from the library to the schoolyard, I sighed. I got a detention for being punched by the school's bully when it wasn't even my fault. At least he got sent home for the day. The teenage kids outside were laughing and smiling like nothing is wrong and having pokemon battles like there's no tomorrow. Can't they all calm down for a while?

"Seriously, the people in this school are always so hyper," I sighed.

"You're not the only one who thinks that," a sweet voice sighed as well, followed by the tip-tap of her shoe soles as she scuttled over to the beanbags I was sitting on.
"Hello again," it was Serena, and she was holding a book with a watercolour design cover. I've read it before, it's called, "Our Love Story" (A/N - An original one-shot coming out soon), and is a heartwarming story.

"Hey," I greeted as she gracefully sat down on a red beanbag next to me. "What brings you here?" I asked before seeing her open her book to a bookmark of a dandelion, once again in watercolour.
"It was too hot outside, so I had decided to relax and read in the library. At least, that's what I intended to do, but now I just want to talk and know you better, you seem interesting," she said.

"Do you like watercolour art?" I asked her, gesturing to her bookmark and the book cover. She nodded. Seeing as I didn't ask any more questions, she turned to her open book and started devouring the words on the pages.

I have to admit, she looked adorable when she was reading. I chuckled to myself.
She glanced up. "What are you laughing at?" she questioned.
"Nothing much, keep reading for a while, I've run out of things to say," I said.

Grabbing a book from the nearby shelf of teen fiction, I too started reading.
