I hopped on the 10:45 train to New York City, excitement radiating off of me and the biggest smile that had been on my face in months. I took the seat in the third row to the right on the train, right next to my friend Victoria. Oh god this is it. I might actually see them, the boys that I have been freaking out over for so long. They are within minutes of me. This chance only comes around once in a while and I had no intentions of letting it slip through my fingers. I did final touches on my light blue eye shadow that brought out my light brown eyes and fixed my eyeliner. I smiled brightly into the mirror I was holding, unable to contain my happiness. My friend Victoria looked at me out of the corner of her eye. “Emma why don’t you fan-girl a little?” I turned to face her and gave her a death glare. “Oh ha-ha you are so funny.” She gave a small laugh. “I know.” I turned looked down at my cell phone and thought for a minute. “Aren’t you excited? I asked her. She liked One Direction longer then I have.Victoria was the one who got me to like them, so you would assume that she would be freaking out more then me. “No.” I shot another glare her way.  “Yes you are.” She turned away from me as I began brushing my long brown hair. “Oh, word?” I put the brush down. “One, two, three” I flicked the side of her head. “Ow!” I laughed and put my headphones in. Another World came on and I smiled to myself. I am going to listen to One Direction the whole way to the city, it seems like I should prepare for hearing their voices.

About 45 minutes later the train pulled into Penn Station. A voice came over the loudspeaker announcing our arrival and I jumped out of my seat. A thousand things came rushing into my head all at once. What if I actually run into them? What if I don’t see them at all? What if I completely embarrass myself in front of Harry? Oh my god what if they hate me? I needed to calm down. To be honest with myself, the chances of me actually seeing them are very slim, but I needed to keep my head high. Just being in New York City gives me a chance of it. “Alright, you said you know where they are going to be?” Victoria said, pulling me out of my thoughts. I stepped out of the train and onto the platform, looking around a little. “Yea, I know where they are.” She looked at me, waiting for me to continue. “So, where are they?” “I don’t know.” She gave me a blank look. “You just said you knew where they were!” She said, her voice raised a little. “We follow the fan-girls.” Her jaw almost dropped. I threw my head back and laughed. “They are probably around west 54th street. That is where the movie premiere was last night. I doubt that they would be staying too far from it.” Victoria nodded and we began walking toward west 33rd street to get a cab.

After about 10 minutes of standing there a cab finally pulled up. “Where are you girls going?” He said quickly as we opened the door to the back of the cab. “West 54th street Faces and Names please.” The driver nodded and pulled away from the curb afterVictoria closed the door. “Faces and Names is just a small restaurant that we could eat at whenever we want to take a break.” I said to Victoria. “Ok.”

The drive there only took a few minutes. Thank god for that too because the music he was playing in the front was unbearable and the little infomercials that was on the mini television in the back starts to get annoying around the third time it repeats. I paid the driver and we hopped out of the car. “Ok now all we have to do is look for paparazzi and/or screaming girls.” “Do you even know where they are staying?” “Well like I said, not too far from the theater and that is just down the block. “Should we check there first?” “No. We should check food places.” I looked up at the sign of the place we were standing in front of. “Why, didn’t you eat before we went?” “I’m not hungry, but Niall always is.” I laughed at her logic. “Alright, sounds good to me, what food places are close by?” She took out her phone and searched for restaurants near us, specifically looking for places like Nandos. “I don’t think we’re going to find a place like Nandos here.” “Maybe he had it brought in from England, orIreland. I’m sure they’d do that for him.” I raised one eyebrow and looked down at her phone. “Of course they would, he’s Niall freaking Horan.” “That’s my boo.” She said, smiling. “There is the Uncle Vanya café, a place called ‘Flute’, and Mooncake foods that way,” Victoria said, nodding to the left. “And to the right all the way up to the theater is the place we’re standing in front of, Maze, and Old Castle Pub & Restaurant.” “So are we going to all of them?” “I guess.” “I don’t want to walk that much.” I said, complaining a little. “Well, do you want to meet our boys?” Victoria said. “Yes…” I answered, dragging out the word. “Then let’s go.” I groaned a little as she started walking to the left, dragging my feet after her.

After hitting Uncle V’s, Flute, and Mooncake foods, which we almost got kicked out of because we someone who looked like Liam, but wasn’t, we trudged back to Faces and Names. “Well, that was annoying.” I said, sliding down the wall and sitting on the sidewalk. People walking past gave me a dirty look for sitting in front of the restaurant and huffed as they walked by. Like the classy lady that I am, I stuck my middle finger up at them. “Nice, Emma, very nice.” I let out a small laugh and sighed. “This is no use, we are in New York City with no real idea where they could be, and on top of that there are probably a million other fans looking for them too. We aren’t exactly original in this case.”Victoria looked down at me. “Well then why the fuck did we come here?” She said, starting to get annoyed. “I don’t know!” I raised my voice a little. We stayed there in silence for a little bit. I pulled myself up off the ground and turned toward her. “We came here to attempt finding them, let’s just keep looking.”Victoriashrugged. I rolled my eyes at her and we both turned around to start heading to the next destination, when it hit me.
