Or should I say he hit me. Not a second after we turned around did we collide with two other boys that were rushing toward us. I hardly had enough time to blink before I hit the concrete sidewalk, landing on my butt. All four of us had fallen to the ground, shaking our heads with confusion. People walking by were looking, some giving us looks, others laughing. I was to shaken up to do anything about it. It wasn’t the mightiest fall I had ever taken but it definitely took me by surprise. I closed my eyes and sat up. After having the wind knocked out of me I needed a minute. I turned and looked atVictoria. She was trying to pull herself together too. While I was trying to figure out exactly what happened I remembered the boys that we knocked over. I noticed that they had begun to stand up so Victoria and I stood up too. “Sorry, we didn’t watch where we were going.” The boy in front of me said. His words came out quickly and under his sunglasses his dark brown eyes were darting around, avoiding mine. His face looked extremely familiar, I felt like I knew him from somewhere but I couldn’t put my finger on it. The boy to my right cleared his throat. I looked over at him as he opened his mouth to speak. “Yeah, I guess we’ll just be going.” They slowly began to walk away when I stopped them. “Do I know you from somewhere?” I asked the boy that I ran into.Victoria turned around to, standing next to me and studying the blonde boy that had been in front of her. “No, I don’t think so.” He said, continuing to avoid my eyes. “No I definitely know you from somewhere.” “Look we really have to go…” He had a British accent. How did I miss that? Then, for the first time, he looked me in the eyes. Who this boy is was currently dancing on the tip of my tongue, taunting me. He searched my face as if to see if it clicked. I glanced at Victoriato see if she knew, but she was staring at the blonde boy again, silent. Then I noticed that the other boy looked very familiar too.

                        And then it clicked.

I looked back over to the boy in front of me. I opened my mouth to speak. “Oh my god, you’re Zayn Malik.” I said very slowly, afraid of what he might do. Their wasn’t a doubt in my mind that it was him. Immediately he covered my mouth with his hand. His accent sounded more potent now. “I will give you each front row tickets and a backstage pass to our next concert if you do not scream.” The blonde boy’s hand was over Victoria’s mouth as well. I’m assuming she guessed who he was. We relaxed our shoulders and their hands dropped from out faces.

I looked over to the other boy. When he spoke his voice was heavy with an Irish accent. “So hi, I’m Niall” he said, with a big smile on his face. Suddenly I got all warm inside, and very happy. I smiled back. “I’m Emma, and this is Victoria.” I looked over at her and she was standing there, dumbfounded at Niall. I wanted to laugh, but that would be a little embarrassing, I looked back at Zayn, who was looking down. “So what are you guys doing here?” He smiled, and looked up at me for a second. “You’re obviously fans, don’t you already know?” I rolled my eyes at him, but he didn’t see. “I meant what are you doing just walking down the block?” “Well we were going to pick up food for us, Niall was hungry.” I looked over at Niall and he smiled at me. Victoria mumbled quickly under her breath. “Typical Niall” which made me laugh. Zayn and Niall looked at us confused; they didn’t hear what she said. Victoria heard me laugh and started laughing. We stopped after we realized that they had no idea what was going on. I turned back to Zayn. “So where are you guys going?” Honestly in this moment I was doing everything I could to not scream, fan-girl, freak out or just hug them. I needed to stay cool if I was going to get anywhere with this. “Uh, right here actually, we order food to go from here.” I nodded. “Do you mind if I go in with you?” I tilted my head toward Victoria and Niall who were talking it up next to us. “Sure” Zayn said, getting it. I grinned at him and we walked inside.

“Just don’t say my name, were obviously trying to be a little on the down low.” “No problem.” We walked in and I held myself together, despite my urge to freak out. I walked over to the counter in the front with Zayn. The man at the table looked at us. “What can I help you with?” Zayn spoke, all hints of his accent gone from his voice. Now I know why I didn’t realize it before. “I’m picking up order number 507.” The man nodded, taking the ticket that Zayn had held out for him. After he walked away Zayn turned toward me, looking down again. “What are you looking at?” “Your arm is bleeding.” I turned it and took a look, he was right. Why did I not feel it? Their was a huge cut going down my arm starting at my elbow, probably from falling before. Blood was all over my arm. Oh god I’m so embarrassed. “Oh my god, how could I not have felt it?” “You’re still in shock.” “The fall was not that bad.” “I meant from meeting me.” He winked at me, I rolled my eyes. He is just as cocky as everyone says. “Oh, so everyone’s right about that.” I smiled a little and turned back toward the counter as the man came back with Zayns food. He didn’t have time to ask me what I meant. Zayn handed the money to the man and took the food. I took half and suddenly the cut on my arm had full impact, it began stinging like crazy. Zayn noticed me wince a little and took the food from me. “Isn’t it a lot to hold?” “I’m strong.” Again, with the ego, I can practically see it radiating off him. “But since you are so worried about it, I’ll give it to…Kyle.” I got confused a little bit, then realized he was talking about Niall. I nodded and laughed a little. He smiled at me and pushed the door open with his back. I held it open with my other arm as I walked out.
