Elijah's POV~
A spread across my face listening to Jesslyn and Klaus yelling at each other. I quickly wiped the smile from my features as I heard her storming upstairs.
" God, I want to kill your brother!"
" I heard...Your reaction was quiet funny."
" ELIJAH! stop listening to my conversations."
He used his vampire speed to come and stand in front of me. He put his hands on my hips and pulled me against hime. I draped my arms over his shoulders.

Jesslyn's POV~
I awoke to my phone ringing.
" Hello?"
" You dont sound so pleased to hear from me."
" Marcus, what do you want?"
" I have your little friend. The fallen angel."
" Let her go! Dont bring her into this mess my father created."
" meet me at the secret location. I told you dont cross me."
Without waking Elijah, I got dressed. I rushed out the door to save my best friend.
Elijah's POV
I rolled over only to find Jesslyn's missing. I shot up and looked around, trying to find my love. Finding a suit, and quickly dressing I called her. On the third ring she picked up.
" Jesslyn, where are you?"
" Saving my best friend. The man who killed my brother has her and I won't lose anyone else. Not today, not ever."
" Where are you going?"
" The old Lockwood Plantation."
" I will be right there."
" Fine, just don't let him see you."
" I give you my word."
Jesslyn's POV
I walked to the old Lockwood Plantation.
" Jesslyn, you're here."
" Shhh, Nayda! He is still around here and he will hear you."
" Right... sorry."
" Jesslyn Marie Bennett. I was wondering when you would get here."
" Marcus, I thought I smelled a rat. "
Marcus strode out of his hiding spot. He stood behind me and wrapped his arms around my stomach. I looked for Elijah in the woods, but my eyes weren't good enough to see him.

Elijah's POV
I was looking Jesslyn right in the face. She looked uncomfortable with this man behind her. I rushed him and shoved my hand through his ribs and grabbed his heart.
" Feel that, that is my hand on your heart. If you dont let her go, your heart will go and in the wrong direction."
He let go of her but I didn't release his heart. With one solid tug, his heart was in my hand then on the wet, rain covered grass. Jesslyn ran to the girl standing in the middle of the clearing. Using my vampire speed, I made it over there just before her.
" Jesslyn, please tell me who this is. "
" Elijah, this is my sister. Nayda, Nayda Cross
My eyes popped out of my head.
" Sister?"
" yeah. Well she is my adoptive sister. We adopted her when I was ten and she just grew on me. I love her more than anything in the world. Well she is up there with you."
" Well lets take her back to the house and get her cleaned up."
" You're right. Nayda you are a mess."
With that all three of us set off to my car to go back to the house.
