It was just another evening after work and Xoina had so many things on her to-do list.

To-Do List
1. Do Laundry Before Midnight
2. Stop at the Supermarket
3. Attend a Salsa Dancing Class
4. Attend Tutor Session
5. Finish sewing outfit for Coral Service
6. Attend Rehearsal for Coral Service

" How will I get all these things done tonight ?" she asked herself again and again.

"Life is so mundane for me, nothing new ever happens, like seriously, what will happen next? Like, will I ever find true love? Everyone I know is dating and yeah, guys like me but they are all the same, boring and dull" she argued with herself.

" Xoina! Hey, wait up ! " shouted Sarai.

" Hey, girlfriend, I'm sorry was just here thinking about the million and one things I need to get done before the day is done!... Oh boy, I have no clue how it is gonna work out love, I really don't," pouted Xoina as she visualized the impossible.

" Yeah, don't know how you're going to get through tonight's rehearsal without the CD with the track for the solo you are doing for the play?" exclaimed Sarai with a smug look on her face, waving the CD back and forth.

"Jeezam Peas! Why am I always losing my things? You remember that book I bought called The White Queen, I only read two chapters and I mean, just like that and Poof! I have no idea what to do with myself I just keep missing things! Choo, it's just my tragic flaw. I guess I just need to accept it.
Thanks though love, what would I do without my one-in-a-million friend!" she beamed blowing air kisses.

"You're just lucky I found it before someone broke it. I am not so sure of the excuse you would have given, Sir Victor-Mr. Manager this time." She glanced at her sideways and shook her head disapprovingly.

It was just twelve days away from Christmas and everyone was getting ready for the launching of the play 'Love Me Once More Before Midnight' and Xoina was to sing, where the couple were about to marry but then a terrible outbreak of catastrophe would ensue.

Xoina was in for something that would shake her, for as she was just about to rehearse her song entitled "Can I Trust You, Can I Trust You With My Heart", she saw him.

She could barely move, " Cut! "Cut! " screamed the stage manager stomping from backstage to centre stage.

" Lights!, Lights!, where are the lights? Is there anyone here that doesn't have an attention problem? Hmmm, how many times did we go through this yesterday, the night before and the week before?!

As soon as Xoina enters the stage there, should be a purple glow hovering at the spot. And then, she will pour out that beautiful song to the audience. So everyone, again and at your places. Take three, action! " storming back to his high chair.

Xoina decided to close her eyes, she was like a quiet angel. The purple hue descended upon her like fairy dust about her plum-medium stature. Then, she opened her mouth and in an instant, the room was transported.

As she opened her eyes she met his gaze. It was as though the heavens paused for five minutes to allow the song to travel through the galaxies and then back to Earth.

But still, their gaze never shifted from each other as she sang the words:

" Can I trust you, can I trust you with my heart,
Lay it all on the line, make a brand-new start,
Will, you take my heart and make it better,
Stronger to face the pain, through the ages on our journey,
Making a vow that never ends,
Can I trust you?"
