" We need to talk," Xoina pleaded pulling away to catch her breath.
"Oh sure thing babe," he stammered taking a breath from another intense make-out session. " What's on your mind?
" Well. it has been three months, three weeks, and three days since we agreed to a relationship. Don't you think we should tell Sarai? I feel so guilty about not telling her," Xoina pleaded while checking her hair
"Oh ok sure, but you know she is going to be super upset. Right, babe? At least my parents know that I am not with Erica anymore," reasoned Chad.
"Alright, I am going to go I have a rehearsal. I don't want to be late again. See you in church on Sunday?" she asked
"Sure thing babe." He pulled her down to meet his lips.
" Oh no, enough of that," pushing him away and rising from the couch.

A few hours later.
Xoina could hardly keep her mind off her little secret.
She had neglected most of the church responsibilities and she was wanting more and more of her new boyfriend's kisses. The more she hung out with Chad in her room on Saturdays, the more she realized two things.
She was in love with her bestie's brother and she wanted to be his wife someday.
She was very worried about the latter because it became very clear to her that afternoon that maybe Chad was afraid to make their new relationship public.
After all, maybe he was just ashamed of dating his sister's friend. Perhaps, he was still in love with Erica or maybe he was waiting to score and drop her like a hot potato. Who knew? She wanted to take their relationship to the next level but she needed to tell Sarai first.
She could not bear the guilt for one more day.
"Sarai, you here?" Xoina called.
"Yes, In my room!" Sarai shouted.
" Girl, how have you been?" Xoina sighed breathlessly and sat on the edge of her best friend's bed.
" You tell me, I haven't seen you for weeks. Did I offend you in some way? Or maybe...I...?" Sarai asked while combing her fingers through her hair.
" NO! You are not a problem. It's me. I promise. I have been so distracted with work and between trying to not end up in a room alone with Jubala this summer and proving that I am the right woman for the job at the office, I am super exhausted!" she explained trying to hide her sweaty palms and her racing heart.
" You and my brother both! He is hardly at home these days. No one knows where he is half the time. I even had to give Erica a call. You will never believe what she told me! She told me they broke up months ago. The funny thing is he seems to be too embarrassed to tell my parents and I think he is seeing someone new but I just don't know who?" she added struggling to put her hair in a bun.
Bee...Beep. Xoina phone chimed signalling another message.
" You're Ms Popular I see, That is the third time your phone has buzzed since you arrived. New boyfriend?" she teased suspiciously.
